The fifth generation CR-V was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi earlier this year. The 2018 CR-V features a new design, cabin and is bigger in every respect as compared to the previous generation model. The design follows the Honda family cues with bold yet modern fascia. The silhouette has retained its characteristics profile while the rear is thoroughly modern. Even the interior layout is new and comes with the new instrument cluster, stylish dash layout and buttons instead of the gear lever.
Under the hood, the diesel engine is the 1.6-litre four-cylinder unit producing 120bhp/300Nm and will be offered with a nine-speed automatic.
The CR-V in this new guise will compete with the Toyota Fortuner and the Ford Endeavour. Prices are expected to hover around Rs 35-40 lakhs to keep the CR-V relevant in the market.
