MG (Morris Garages) Motor India will soon launch the Hector SUV in India. But before that, they have already opened their outlets across many cities in India. One such one-of-its-kind experience store, in fact, their flagship store is now operational at Milestone Experian Centre, Sector-15, Gurugram. But what's so special about it, you may ask? The inauguration of this flagship store was shortly followed by the bookings of MG's first car for India - the Hector. Test drives of the vehicle will begin from tomorrow.
Apart from this one, 120 more showrooms will soon be fully-operational. All of these have been designed with an aim of completely redefining the car buying experience in India.
MG’s first flagship store also follows this strategy for sales operations, which is a sharp departure from a typical car showroom. The idea is to give a fresh automotive experience to all visitors.
With this in mind, the store's design follows the brand's 'Emotional Dynamism' philosophy. This basically incorporates contemporary brand elements and slick colour palettes.
When viewed from outside, the fascia sports a unique facade grille. This is in the shape of an 'Upturned Mountain' signifying the confluence of the sky and earth.
Inside, the store is cleverly created to demonstrate the brand’s experience-first approach. Through the use of many intelligent and creative elements, it aims to captivate all the five senses of a buyer.
Many well-known British cultural icons such as the Big Ben, the Union Jack, telephone booths and street lamps are strategically placed so that one is instantly reminded of the British heritage.
Even the walls have a brickwork texture and a Magna strip to further accentuate MG's strong connection with its home - the UK.
Fascinatingly, what grabs most attention is the 1965 MG Midget on display. This car reminds one of MG's legacy as a premium carmaker in the era gone by and its past glories.
There's also an LED video wall of 36 connected TVs that plays artfully-created brand videos. The latter have immersive content about the brand’s history and future vision.
MG’s range of internet vehicles have state-of-the-art features which are displayed at the 'Engineering corner'. This section also exhibits the revolutionary 48V Hybrid engine.
Prospective buyers can select the accessories they need for their car through a live configurator. It's also said to be the largest live configurator screen set up by any automobile manufacturer.
Lastly, apart from a host of curated MG memorabilia, the experience store also boasts of an MG Café like all other MG Showrooms.
