Maruti Suzuki initiates service campaign for select Baleno’s to examine ABS software

Maruti Suzuki has initiated a service campaign for its popular premium hatchback, the Baleno to inspect and update its ABS software. The service campaign is restricted to 3,757 cars which were manufactured between Dec 6, 2018 and Feb 4, 2019.

The inspection covers the ABS actuator which is basically a hydraulic device that is linked to the ECU in a bid to control braking during emergency situations. According to Maruti Suzuki this isn’t a recall as there is no safety concern involved.
