Maruti Baleno

Positives:

• It has auto headlamps, cruise control, Head Up display, rear AC vents, and rear USB Type-A and Type-C charging ports.

• The front seats are comfortable and good for long hours of commuting or covering long distances.

• It is offered with a multi-information display for info like g-force, acceleration, and fuel quantity saved and Suzuki Connect features like remote access to headlamps.

• The back bench offers abundant legroom and reasonably comfortable seating for three adults.

• There is a nine-inch SmartPlay Pro+ HD touchscreen with an Arkamys-tuned music player, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, and voice command capability.

• It has 318 litres of bootspace, which is adequate for two small suitcases and a few soft bags.

Negatives:

• At the back, we would have liked a larger seat squab for better passenger under-thigh support.
• A high loading lip means more effort is required to lift one’s suitcase higher to load it into the boot.

Positives:

• The standard safety features include dual airbags, ESP, hill hold assist, brake assist, rear parking sensors, three-point seatbelt and seatbelt reminder for all seats, and a rear defogger.
• One can also get a 360-degree camera, rear-view camera, side and curtain airbags, LED fog lamps, and a heads-up display.

Negatives:

• The Maruti Baleno received a one-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test.

Positives:

• It has projector headlamps with LED DRLs, alloy wheels, door mirrors with turn indicators, LED taillamps, and a rear spoiler. 

• This is a large hatchback that looks exceedingly attractive due to the sharp styling elements.

• The Baleno’s cabin has a nice blend of black, silver, and blue, which lends a premium look.

• The quality of materials in the upper section of the cabin is just about okay and the buttons work without issues. 

Negatives:

• The plastic quality lower down in the cabin feels like they were built to lower costs.
