The Maruti Suzuki Ignis is offered in four variants that include Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha.

Market introduction:

The 2023 Maruti Suzuki Ignis was launched in India on 27 January.

Engine and specification:

The Maruti Suzuki Ignis continues to be powered by a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, NA petrol engine that produces 82bhp and 113Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual and AMT gearboxes. This engine is now updated to comply with the RDE and BS6 Phase 2 emission norms.

Exterior design:

Appearance-wise, the Ignis features a grille with four U-shaped chrome inserts, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, contrast-coloured skid plates, blacked-out 15-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, a conventional antenna, an integrated spoiler with a high-mounted stop lamp, and two-piece tail lights.

Interior and features:

Inside, the Ignis comes equipped with a dual-tone theme, a seven-inch SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system, an engine start/stop button, steering-mounted controls, automatic climate control, auto-foldable ORVMs, and 60:40 split rear seats. The MY23 iteration brings along features such as ESP and hill hold assist which are now standard across the range.

Colours:

The Maruti Suzuki Ignis is available in six monotone and three dual-tone colour shades that include Arctic White, Glistening Grey, Turquoise Blue, Silky Silver, Lucent Orange, Pearl Arctic White, and Nexa Blue. The Lucent Orange colour can be had with a contrast black roof while the Nexa Blue is available with silver or black roof.

Seating capacity:

The Maruti Suzuki Ignis has a seating capacity of five occupants.
