The much awaited cross hatchback from Ford, the Freestyle will finally be launched in India on 26 April 2018. The vehicle will be offered in petrol and diesel engine options and it will be offered in four variants - Ambient, Trend, Titanium and Titanium+. We have recently driven the car and you can read about our first drive review here and watch the video for the same here.

The Freestyle from Ford will be the first car to get the 1.2-litre Dragon series naturally-aspirated petrol engine, which generates 94bhp of power and 120Nm of torque. Compared to the older 1.2-litre engine on the Figo, the new petrol generates an additional 7bhp of power and 8Nm of torque. The diesel version on the other hand gets a 1.5-litre engine that generates 99bhp of power and 215Nm of torque. Both the engines come mated to a five-speed manual transmission as standard.

Although the Freestyle is based on the Figo, it gets new bumpers and stylish body cladding to give it a sportier look. For a beefier look, the vehicle gets a high ground clearance of 190mm and sits on bigger 15-inch wheels. Additionally, the vehicle also gets new silver roof rails and silver skid plates whoch competes its sporty appeal.

As for the interior, the Freestyle gets a charcoal black interior with dual tone seats in sienna and black. One of the other important highlight for the car is the distance to empty feature, which indicates the driver when the vehicle is due for a refill. Speaking of safety, the Freestyle gets front dual airbags and ABS with EBD as standard. The top spec Titanium+ boasts of six airbags, anti-rollover prevention system, HLA (Hill launch assist), ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and TCS (Traction Control System). Then, there's emergency assistance too, which in the event of an accident shuts down the fuel supply and automatically shares your GPS location with emergency contact numbers.

Recently we had also revealed the accessory list for the Ford Freestyle. You can read all about it here.
