We have seen many such special editions in the past including the Gold edition that is still on sale. The new Diamond edition is also expected to get some features and exterior updates that will differentiate it from the standard hatchback. It might get some select exterior body colour options with decals on the bonnet, sides, roof and the tail gate. We can expect it to get a reverse parking sensor and Bluetooth enabled music system too, if it is offered in the top-of-the-line trim.
Datsun wants to boost the sales of this entry-level hatchback and hence will offer the special Diamond edition in all variants. This includes the 800cc model, 1.0-litre petrol mill powered model and even the AMT versions. We can expect the carmaker to reveal all the details with prices soon.
Edit- Nissan India confirmed with the dealer sources informing us that it will be a dealer-specific variant offered on the 2017 year models.
