Mercedes-Benz India to launch the new S-Class on February 26

Following the launch of the Mercedes-Maybach S650 at the 2018 Auto Expo, Mercedes-Benz has now announced that it will launch the new S-Class on February 26.

Introduced in 2014, the latest-gen S-Class has been a huge success for Mercedes and with this customary mid-life update, the brand is looking to take things to new heights as far as comfort and luxury is concerned. On the outside, this new model follows Mercedes’ recent design language however it’s in the details wherein you will find plenty of changes.

The daytime running lights, for instance, follow a new layout and even the headlamp assembly is different compared to the old car. Since its an upgrade, the body shell is the same and so are all the creases and curves but the new S-Class will definitely get new set of alloys and redesigned taillights.

The new S-Class has got a lot of new things going inside the cabin. Standard features will include 64-color ambient lighting options, countless comfort features and improved luxury in terms of upholstery and cabin plastics. The twin display screens dominate the dash and have customisable layouts for the instrument cluster as well as for the infotainment system.

The S-Class will be offered with 3-litre petrol and diesel V6 engine options along with the range topping V8 in the S500 guise. It will take on the likes of BMW 7 Series, Jaguar XJ and the Audi A8.
