Maruti Suzuki recently launched 'Suzuki Connect', a new telematics solution system for its Nexa-branded cars. It’s an advanced integrated safety and connected car solution based on a telematics control unit. Designed to offer customers improved safety, security and a user-friendly connected car experience, these are the five most important benefits of the same.
1. Vehicle tracking
The car can be easily tracked with the help of this telematics control unit and a smart-phone. The carmaker has developed an app that can be installed on the phone and the location of the car can be known and also shared with others.
The app is capable of sending emergency alerts, a preventive function call and even car assistance calls. And this is irrespective of whether you are driving the car or even away from it.
3. Live vehicle status
Apart from the vehicle's location, the car's status including over-speeding alerts, low fuel alert etc. are provided. The movement of the car will be tracked and logged.
4. Service due reminder
Once one adds his vehicle in the app's database, he/she can book appointments through the app itself. This app will give the entire information including service history, maintenance costs, calculation of all costs etc.
5. Driving behaviour analysis
In addition, Suzuki Connect can also analyse the driving behaviour. Based on the information a fuel efficiency report will be generated and will also give you a score accordingly.
It should be noted that Suzuki Connect is right now only available for Nexa-branded cars, new and existing, and at an extra cost.
