Lamborghini has teased – for the first time – an updated Huracan on a Unica owner’s mobile application. The Huracan has been on sale since 2014 when it replaced the iconic Gallardo. And although it received various versions from time to time, it is the right time to introduce a mid-life update to the Baby Lambo. It could even adopt an s suffix like the Aventador S, or we could get to see a special series Huracan similar to the Gallardo.
We have already spotted the updated Huracan in the Spyder guise a few months ago. All we know so far is that the updated Huracan will be the four-wheel steering which will be directly borrowed from its elder sibling. The V10 will surely get a bump in output while other features from the maniacal Aventador SVJ will also trickle down to the smaller Lambo. The 5.2-litre naturally aspirated motor could cross the 650bhp mark but nothing has been confirmed yet.
Styling wise, the Huracan will get an aggressive aero treatment on the fascia and on the posterior. There is intricate detailing on the front bumpers, as seen in the teaser. At the rear, the Perfomante inspiration will include a high-placed exhaust with revised taillight design and a small spoiler as well. An imposing diffuser was also seen on the test mule. The spied prototype was sitting on huge multiple Y-spoke alloy wheels which have also been spotted for the first time and might debut with the update.
The most important update on the Huracan will be on the inside with a massive screen taken straight out of the Lamborghini Centenario. It will also retain the display details as was seen on the Centenario. The current Huracan misses out on the touchscreen infotainment system. But given that every other car has a touchscreen system, Lamborghini might have felt the need to oblige the new Huracan with the same.
The new Huracan will break cover in the coming few days. It will make its public debut at either the Geneva Motor Show or a private event. Its Indian debut might happen in late-2019.
