Renault Kiger

Three USPs of the Renault Kiger:

• The Kiger offers clever storage options all around the cabin – 29 litres, to be exact. Its boot capacity of 405 litres is best-in-segment, and it can be extended up to 879 litres by folding down the 60:40 split rear seats.
• With its compact dimensions, high seating, and good visibility all around, the Kiger is easy to drive around the tight confines of any big city. The automatic version is all the more convenient with its light controls and easy-going gearbox options.
• The Kiger has a proven safety record ever since it was introduced. It’s got a four-star GNCAP safety rating for adult occupant protection and two stars for child occupant protection.

Two features missing in the Kiger  

• The Kiger range doesn’t have TPMS or a sunroof.
• The Kiger also misses out on a diesel engine option that some of its rivals come with.

• The higher variants of the Kiger offer four airbags – front and side – along with seatbelts with pre-tensioner and load-limiter (for driver occupant). 
• Additionally, the vehicle gets ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors, impact sensing door unlock, speed-sensing door lock and ISOFIX anchorage for the child seat. 
• The recently launched Urban Night Edition also gets a 9.6-inch IRVM that replaces the standard one. It’s photo-chromatic and has the all-important dashboard camera. 

The Kiger has a four-star GNCAP safety rating for adult occupant protection and two stars for child occupant protection. 

• With the 2022 model year update, Renault introduced red accents across the dashboard for select variants. It gives a nice contrast to the otherwise all-black cabin. 
• Apart from that, the Kiger also has quilted embossing on the seats. Up front, there are quite a few interesting-looking trim and design elements in the Kiger. 
• Then, it also gets an all-digital instrument cluster, rotary dials for climate control, keyboard-like press action for the hazard light and door lock/unlock switches, ambient lighting, and a dual glove box.
• As for the seats, they are comfortable with good bolster support and you get height adjustment as well.
• Space at the back is more than ample for two adults. It has sufficient leg room with the front seat set to an average adult’s height. It's big on headroom as well, thanks to the tall roof and the flat floor, further helping passengers sit comfortably.
