Toyota issues recall notice for Corolla Altis diesel

Toyota has issued a recall notice for all variants of its Corolla Altis diesel sedans manufactured between the 3rd of August 2012 and 14th of February 2013. The company has said that a potential aberration on the left or right side of the driveshaft has been observed in a few cases and it has decided to proactively inspect and repair/replace the drive shafts of all vehicles from this period. 

Toyota has said that service is available at all authorised Toyota Dealerships and will take around two hours to complete, so customers should take an appointment before reaching the dealership. They have also provided a toll free number of their customer centre, 1800-425-0001, for further enquiries.
