The Red Bull team has unveiled its RB5 today on the first day of Jerez Testing. Sebastian Vettel will be the first driver to test the car.
After a successful 2008 outing, the young German was promoted to Red Bull from the Toro Rosso outfit. The 20-year old will test the RB5 for the first two days and Mark Webber, will be testing from the third day. The Australian driver who was injured during a show in his homeland has recovered.Â
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner said, “Going into 2009, the team is now well placed to take advantage of the rule changes, not just the technical ones that we have known about for some time, but also those established through the efforts of FIA and FOTA last December. Red Bull Racing and Red Bull Technology carried no excess weight anyway in terms of manpower, so adjusting to the new rules has, for us, been relatively straight-forward and we are in good shape for the future."
