The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has won the Golden Steering Wheel award Consumer Choice Car of the Year 2012 during a function at Greater Noida on March 20. Presented by Auto Bild India and CarWale, the Golden Steering Wheel Awards 2012 recognises the best in field of cars, motorcycles as well as products and technology.
First instituted in 1976 by Axel Springer, Auto Bild’s parent company, the Golden Steering Wheel has been the most coveted automobile awards in Europe. Its Indian edition cherishes equal acclaim and reverence by the automotive fraternity besides unequivocally capturing the voice of Indian consumer.
The award for ‘Consumer Choice Car of the year 2012’ was determined by an online voting on www.carwale.com which saw Indian car buyers rating their cars on over 20 parameters and in the end based on an analysis of these parameters, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga was chosen as the Consumer Choice Car of the year 2012.
