Honda Brio spotted while testing – SCOOP PICTURES

We spotted the Honda Brio while it was being tested on the Noida Expressway. Honda is expecting to launch the Brio in the month of September. The Brio will be placed a segment below the existing Honda Jazz which will facelift this month.

The Brio will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine which produces 90bhp of power and 110Nm. The Brio in Thailand is offered with a continuously variable transmission, we aren’t sure if Honda plans to introduce the CVT in India. The Brio will get the duty cut since it is less than 4 metres in length.  The Brio gets a 175-litres of boot and is par at Beat and Alto.

The Brio will be the cheapest Honda that will be sold in India and is at present sold in the other South-East Asian markets. The Brio in Thailand even comes with an option of CVT and Honda could introduce this transmission as an option in India as well.
Displacement: 1.2-litre
Power 90bhp @ 6000rpm
Torque 11.2kgm @ 4800rpm
Transmission: 5-speed manual / CVT
Length 3610mm
Width 1680mm
Height 1485mm
Wheelbase 2345mm
