Renault Kwid Superhero edition explained in-detail

Just a couple of days before the 2018 Auto Expo event, Renault introduced the Kwid Superhero edition in India. The Superhero edition is based on the themes of ‘Iron Man’ and ‘Captain America’ and costs an additional Rs 29,900 over the standard RXT Kwid variant. The vehicles are available only in 1.0-litre petrol drivetrain in manual and AMT option. Renault also displayed the Kwid Superhero edition at the ongoing 2018 Auto Expo event in the country.

To distinguish it from the regular Kwid, the Captain America themed Superhero edition features blue coloured centre fascia and accents on the steering wheel. Moreover, it also gets a red coloured gear knob and bright red ORVM cover with white strips. As for the Iron Man edition it gets red outside rear view mirrors with gold streams, rear lower body protector, and gold accents on the grille. As for the interior it gets anodised red accents on steering wheel, door trims and centre console. The variant also gets gold/black gear knob and red stitching on black upholstery.

The Kwid Superhero edition is powered by a 1.0-litre three cylinder engine that generates 67bhp of power and 91Nm of torque. Bookings for the Kwid Superhero edition is open on Amazon at a token amount of Rs 9,999 and deliveries for the same will commence from April during the release of Avengers: Infinity War.

Earlier in January, Renault also launched the Renault Kwid Live for More Reloaded 2018 Edition in 0.8L and 1.0L SCe (Smart Control efficiency) powertrains with manual (MT) and automated transmissions (AMT). In efforts to boost Kwid sales, the 2018 edition dual-tone speedster graphics which runs across the hood, roof and sides of the car. The cars also get special styling and colour combination consisting of black, dark grey with lime accents for light body colour and black, silver with lime accents for dark body colour for a trendy exterior. Electric lime accents can be seen on the steel silver -accentuated front grille inserts as well as the wheel covers. To further enhance the visual appeal, the cars also get dual-tone arching roof bars and lime streak ORVMs. The 2018 Edition cars are available at existing prices, starting at Rs 2.67 lakhs.
