It is that time of the month again when we reveal a list of upcoming cars for next month. Back at the Auto Expo event which concluded in February, we had witnessed a strong line up of upcoming cars. Of these, we have three new models which are likely to debut in June.
Jaguar E-Pace
The much awaited five-seater compact SUV, the E-Pace went on sale in the European market early this year and is likely to be introduced in India in June 2018. The exterior design is inspired by the F-Type sports car and is characterised by the distinctive gaping grille, muscular proportions, short overhangs and powerful haunches. Optional 21-inch alloy wheels add a bold and purposeful stance to the SUV. The 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium diesel power plant is available in 150bhp, 180bhp and 240bhp outputs, while the pair of 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium petrol turbo units deliver 249bhp or 300bhp.
Mitsubishi Outlander
Back in April, the company had officially started accepting bookings for the all-new Outlander SUV for a booking amount of Rs 5 lakhs. Limited to a petrol engine, the Outlander will be powered by a 2.4-litre DOHC MIVEC inline four-cylinder petrol engine that generates 165bhp of power and 222Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a CVT gearbox with paddle shifters. The Outlander will be offered in just one fully loaded trim which gets a display screen, dual-zone climate control, leather seats et al.
Jeep Compass TrailHawk
This is basically the top-spec off-road capable version of the Compass. Along with sport cosmetic upgrades, the SUV vehicle will be offered with a diesel automatic setup. The Compass Trail Hawk will be offered with a 2.0-litre diesel motor producing 171bhp/350Nm with a nine-speed AT, AWD and a low-range gearbox as a part of the package.
