Hyundai is showing off not one, but four jazzed up vehicles at the 2016 SEMA show in Las Vegas. The Korean automaker is displaying a nitrous-based Santa Fe concept, a race-ready Veloster concept, a road racer Elantra concept and a “Santa-Fast” SUV with 1,040bhp.
To develop this range, Hyundai joined forces with Rockstar Performance Garage, Gurnade Inc., ARK Performance and Bisimoto. Starting off with the Santa Fe, the nitrous-powered concept is capable of serious off-roading and features a 3.3-litre V6 engine driving all four wheels. The race-ready Veloster concept on the other hand, takes the aggressive stance of the standard Veloster and magnifies it further with integrated flares, front splitter, racing canards, 3-piece lightweight forged wheels and a custom rear spoiler.
Similarly, the Elantra concept takes the practical yet sporty lines of the Elantra sedan and infuses it with integrated flares, bulging forged racing wheels and custom new front and rear fascia designs for an aggressive appearance.
Lastly, the stupidly fast ‘Santa-Fast’ is a 1,040bhp rear-wheel drive Santa Fe. Developed by Bisimoto, a brand renowned for awe-inspiring street, show and race vehicles, this mad creation pumps out so much horsepower through a flex-fuel turbocharged, Hyundai-based 3.8-litre V6 power-plant which is positioned longitudinally and drives the rear wheels.
