    BMW X1 Latest Updates

    • BMW India launched the third generation of the X1 SUV in the country in May 2023. Now, the automaker has hiked the prices of this SUV by up to Rs. 90,000. After this price increment, the X1 ranges between Rs. 49.50 lakh to Rs. 52.50 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). Currently, this Mercedes-Benz GLA rival is offered in two variants, namely sDrive 18i M Sport and sDrive 18d M Sport. While the latter has become expensive by Rs. 90,000, the former is dearer by Rs. 60,000.

      17 Jan 2024

    • BMW has revised the X1 petrol lineup by introducing the sDrive18i M Sport variant. Under the hood, there's a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that delivers 134bhp and 230Nm of torque, coupled with a seven-speed automatic transmission. Bookings are open and the deliveries are scheduled to kick off in June 2023.

      4 May 2023

    • Diesel 1995cc Turbo
    • Petrol 1499cc Turbo

    Positives:

    • This diesel engine is free from vibrations and is almost muted on idling with no clattering diesel noise of any kind. This oil burner is also quite frugal.
    • Where the older X1 came with a 20d badge and a 2.0-litre diesel produced 188bhp and 400Nm, this new one has an 18d badge for the four-cylinder diesel. It produces 144bhp and 360Nm and is paired to a seven-speed DCT sending power to the front wheels.

The petrol-powered BMW X1 has a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which puts out 134bhp and 230Nm. Similar to the oil burner, this one is also paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission sending power to the front wheels only. It has a claimed mileage of 16.35kmpl.Key Specifications:

    USPs of BMW X1:

    • The BMW X1 is now larger than before. In fact, it appears as big as the X3 from some angles. There’s a sharper design language, which also makes it look more attractive than before, while the proportions are well-balanced.
    • The new cabin flaunts the floating curved display atop the dashboard. This display also runs the newest interface that BMW first introduced in the flagship 7 Series. The space has also gone up with the larger footprint.
    • Not only is the diesel mill refined and powerful, but it is equally frugal as well. Helped by the mild-hybrid setup and the quick-shifting DCT, the X1 diesel can realistically achieve a mileage of over 20kmpl and a real-world range of over 1000km.
    • With this generation, the cabin gets more features than before, giving you the impression that the X1 is far from an entry-level model in the BMW line-up.

    Negatives:

    • The cabin ergonomics have been altered heavily as the all-electric iX1 was developed alongside the standard X1. Also, the right-hand-drive and left-hand-drive versions have the same layout for the centre console, reducing its ergonomic forte.
    • With the new touchscreen layout, BMW has eliminated their iconic iDrive controller.

    BMW X1 Safety

    3.8Expert Rating
    • BMW X1 has scored five stars in the Euro NCAP crash tests.
    • You also get some level of advanced driver assist system (ADAS) with the X1 along with all the other standard safety features.

    4.6User Rating (69)

    Positives:

    • Compared to the outgoing X1, the cabin of the new one feels more spacious, thoroughly modern, and upmarket. With BMW’s new signature curved screen dominating the dashboard, it's paired with an all-digital MID run on the new OS8. However, we found this interface to be slightly complicated and the MID’s configuration isn’t as informative either.
    • With the touchscreen, you get different modes transforming the entire cabin feel, including music, lights, massage functions, and even driving dynamics.
    • The second row is pretty spacious to stretch your legs and offers ample headroom with surprisingly good visibility.
    • Further, the backrest has a 40:20:40 split and it folds flat so that the cargo space can be expanded from 540 to 1,600 litres.

    Negatives:

    • Although the floating console is perfect as an armrest, the large space below it is inaccessible.
    • Moreover, BMW has skipped the iconic and characteristic physical iDrive controller in the new interface.
    • On the flip side, the quality of the plastic in the lower dashboard and panel joints isn’t up to the standard of the rest of the cabin either.

    • Amazing Car, loved it and best mileage
I have bought an X1 18D, a lovely pick-up, very specious and much bigger compared to the old one even compared to GLA. Tech is amazing and with beautiful interiors. The best is the mileage.

    • Reality of bmw
The buying experience for the BMW was seamless, with a well-informed sales team and a range of customizable options to choose from. 2. The driving experience exceeded expectations, offering a perfect blend of performance and comfort. The handling and responsiveness added to the overall satisfaction. 3. In terms of looks, the BMW boasted a sleek and sophisticated design. Performance-wise, it delivered a powerful and dynamic driving experience, living up to its brand reputation. 4. Servicing and maintenance, however, proved to be a bit on the expensive side. Regular maintenance was essential to keep the car in optimal condition, which could be a consideration for potential buyers. 5. Pros included the impressive driving dynamics, luxurious design, and advanced features. On the flip side, the high maintenance costs and potential for costly repairs were notable cons. Overall, the BMW offered a premium driving experience, but the maintenance aspect could have been more economical.

    • BMW X1 (A monster)
I have recently bought my BMW from Bareilly there the clients are friendly. When I first drove my car It was like an amazing experience. It looks fabulous and whether I took my to the roads the people are watch it. It took me about a little amount for its service and maintenance the overall mileage is much better than the previous version. Pros:- It feels luxury and the brand BMW has no need to introduce a self made monster Cons :- Maybe the fuel efficiency will much better is it have.
