Been driving this car for just over a month now. When we started looking, the requirement was very clear: a spacious automatic for daily office use in Mumbai, easy enough for my wife (a new driver), effortless ingress and egress for aged parents, and rear passenger headrests for long-drive comfort. With this checklist in mind, I had been extensively reviewing cars for over a year and had firmly concluded NOT TO BUY NISSAN. By December 2025, the search narrowed down to the usual suspects — Tata, Hyundai, and Maruti — with a strong bias towards closing on a Wagon R AMT. Over nearly four weekends, we sat in and evaluated almost everything within or slightly above our budget: Tiago, Tigor, Altroz, Punch, i10, Exter, Wagon R, and Fronx. In many of these cars, we didn’t even feel the need to fire up the engine or take a test drive — the basic requirements just weren’t there. Eventually, though still not fully satisfied, we were almost about to close on the Altroz. Then, almost by fluke, we happened to pass a Nissan showroom — despite having a very clear mindset of not buying one. We stepped in, sat inside, and everything changed. The space on offer was immediately impressive. Seating front and rear felt ergonomically spot-on, ingress and egress were just right, and the dashboard was refreshingly no-nonsense. The driving experience itself wasn’t mind-blowing — honestly, not at the level of my old Maruti Ritz or even the new Altroz — more in the same bandwidth as a Tigor. Yet, somehow, everything felt right. Despite the known reliability concerns, we didn’t overthink it as we did elsewhere. Decision made, no time wasted. Now, after living with the car for over a month, I can confidently vouch for the real-world driving experience. This is not a car for enthusiasts. From a signal stop, it creeps forward gently, and people behind will honk during the first 3–5 seconds. However, once it settles into its sweet spot around 20 km/h, it drives comfortably and smoothly up to about 65–70 km/h. Beyond that, acceleration isn’t as linear and does take time. I also started noticing something interesting — no matter how quickly other cars accelerate in city traffic, they’re not really reaching any sooner than you would in this one. That realisation came after the first few days, when I used to get genuinely irritated by how this car refused to break speed limits even on hard acceleration. Once you tune into its rhythm, it becomes very easy to live with. Yes, the engine does vibrate a bit when in reverse gear, but honestly, that’s not a deal breaker given everything else it offers. What this car truly gets right for me are the basics: well-sized seats, excellent ergonomics, a simple and intuitive dashboard, just the right features (nothing flashy or overdone), easy ingress for elders, and interior finish quality that feels better than any Maruti I’ve experienced. If you’re in the market for a new car, my only advice would be this: make a clear list of your requirements, then physically sit in every car you possibly can. Don’t rely only on reviews or opinions. Somewhere along the way, there will be a moment — almost like a divine intervention — that tells you this is the right car for you.

Vehicle performance and the AMT gear box is excellent. I did not expect such a value for the money spent. The space is also plenty. Perfect for a family man, the vehicle's ground clearance is excellent, not to worry about bad roads and speed breakers. Maintaining a speed of 85 km/h will give a miracle in mileage.

Value for Money (VFM) & Pricing: The Magnite is often praised for its aggressive and competitive pricing, offering a lot of features for its segment. Space and Practicality: The cabin is generally considered spacious for a car in the sub-4 meter category, with good legroom and a decent boot space (336 Litres).

Value for money.. in the sense of price, comfort milage etc. I went for a small drive. It was good. The music system is awesome. And there are 6 airbags in it for safety. So overall it's a good car for the middle class

The behaviour of the sales executive and every staff member of the Nissan Showroom is good. You'll feel like a valued customer as they are trying to grab the Indian market. I didn't even have to visit the showroom for a test drive. They brought the top-of-the-line testing car to my home for my test drive. The overall process of the application was also easy, and the showroom helped me in every step. The look of the car is bold and premium, as their tag line - bold inside out. The interior look is also premium because of the 360 leather treatment. frameless auto-dimming IRVM, and a fully digital cluster. The NA engine has a decent performance for city driving, you can easily overtake other cars, and it can go up to 110-115 km/h smoothly. Beyond that, you need to push the car a bit hard, which is okay according to me. We should not drive at that high speed as well. If you're performance oriented, then you can opt for the Turbo engine, which is even powerful than a 1.2l NA engine. Magnite 1L Turbo engine can beat a 1.2L NA engine. In short Pros : 1. Looks bold from the outside, premium from the inside. 2. Frameless auto-dimming IRVM and a 360-degree around view camera at this price point 3. Cooled, illuminated large glove box 4. Fully digital cluster 5. Spacious and no claustrophobic feeling 6. The Air Filter is installed at this price point Cons: 1. The NA engine could have been better. 2. The infotainment system could be better with a good resolution and a larger screen size 3. A sunroof option for Top models, or could bring another variant like "Tekna+ S" with a Sunroof option

It's a low-budget good vehicle for the common man with great comfort. We enjoy it while driving just a few drawbacks it can be improved with pickup and mileage and sometimes clutch stocks.
