Positives:

• The Sonet gets an electric sunroof and large vertical air-con vents on the dashboard.

• The second-row backrest’s split-folding capability improves versatility.

• It has front ventilated seats, electric driver’s seat, 10.25-inch instrumentation, and a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen.

• The Sonet offers good visibility, a nice driving position, and sufficient room overall.

• There’s a Bose seven-speaker system, air purifier with virus and bacteria protection, and LED ambient lighting.

• There’s decent legroom and adequate thigh support for people with average height.

• It offers Alexa commands such as tyre pressure info and remote climate control and has connected car functions like Find My Car with surround view monitoring.

Negatives:

• The Sonet is tight for six-foot-tall individuals, especially in the second row.
• The shoulder room when three passengers are seated on the rear bench is restrictive.
• It misses a steering reach adjustment, auto wipers, illuminated window buttons, and a full-sized spare wheel.

Positives:

• The Sonet has six airbags, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, and hill-start assist as standard fitment.
• It has a blind-view monitor, front and rear parking sensors, three-point seatbelts for all seats, disc brakes on all wheels, and a 360-degree camera.
• It’s available with ADAS functionalities such as forward collision warning and avoidance (car, pedestrian, cyclist), and lane keep assist.

Negatives:

• The Sonet does not have a safety rating since it has not been crash-tested by the NCAP yet.

Positives:

• It gets the signature tiger-nose grille with LED DRLs, LED headlamps, and sleek LED fog lamps.

• It has 16-inch crystal-cut alloys, LED connected taillamps, rear spoiler, and rear skid plates with dark metallic accents.

• It is offered in eight monotone colours called Pewter Olive, Glacier White Pearl, Sparkling Silver, Gravity Grey, Aurora Black Pearl, Intense Red, Imperial Blue, and Clear White.

• There are two dual-tone colours called Intense Red with Aurora Black Pearl roof and Glacier White Pearl with Aurora Black Pearl roof.

• The unique colours offered in the X-Line variant are called Aurora Black Pearl and the spectacular-looking Xclusive Matte Graphite.
• In terms of the quality of cabin materials, there's no compromise with the new leatherette upholstery that looks fresh and upmarket.

• The X-Line has Sage Green leatherette seats with an all-black interior and Sage Green inserts and the GT-Line gets black leatherette seats with all-black interiors and white inserts.
• The Tech-Line gets either black and beige semi-leatherette seats with a black and beige dual-tone interior or semi-leatherette seats with an all-black interior.

Negatives:

• Kia missed the opportunity to introduce soft-touch materials around the Sonet’s cabin.
