Renault India has further simplified bookings for the Kwid hatchback via Paytm. Interested customers can now book the Kwid on Paytm by paying a booking amount of Rs 10,000. The portal also offers a chance to avail cashback benefits amounting to Rs 10,000 when bookings are processed by them. Though this new offer is only for New Delhi and NCR regions, it will soon be expanded to other parts of India.
Prior to Renault entering into a strategic partnership with Paytm, Suzuki Motorcycles had been working with the company to sell their two-wheelers online. Apart from the Kwid hatchback, the company revealed that it will consider Paytm and other online selling platforms to sell more models from their line-up in India. In the coming days the company will gauge the trend for online sales and based on it, the company will introduce more models at a later date.
Within next few months, Renault plans on launching a more powerful 1.0-litre Kwid and an AMT equipped version in India. If launched, we can expect them to be sold via such online platforms. The bigger engine Kwid variant is expected to generate around 67bhp of power, while safety features like ABS with EBD and dual front airbags might be offered as optional on higher variants.
