Porsche has been testing the 911 GT3 facelift for quite some time. Now however the brand seems to have dropped the camouflage off the prototypes of this highly anticipated performance model.
Spotted going really fast around the Nurburgring in Germany, the GT3 facelift will be introduced as the 2017 911 GT3. Design wise, the hardcore model gets different air intakes, LED lights and taillights from the latest 911 range.
The big news surrounding the GT3 facelift is the introduction of the 6-speed manual from the limited-run 911R. The current 911 GT3, as we know, is PDK only. The 3.8-litre flat six engine will remain naturally-aspirated though.
When Porsche unveiled the mid-cycle facelift of the current 911 range last year, the GT3 did not receive the makeover. The latter is expected to roll out next year.
