Honda launches CNG compatible Amaze for Rs 6.53 lakh

Honda has launched a CNG-compatible variant of the Amaze compact sedan. The new variant Amaze 1.2 S MT Plus (i-VTEC) has been priced at Rs 5.99 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi). The company approved CNG kit has been priced at Rs 54,315 and will be fitted at the dealership level. However, this price does not include the CNG endorsement charges.
The S MT Plus variant in addition to the features of the S variant also gets an optimised suspension to handle extra load, application of CNG specific engine components and specially prepared wiring harnesses to ensure high level of quality. The new variant will come with a two year warranty as standard.
The engine is the 1.2-litre four-cylinder mill which produces 87bhp and 109Nm of torque using petrol power but is expected to lose a few bhp while running on CNG. Power is sent to the front wheels via a five-speed manual.
