American automaker, Chevrolet, is looking to make a decent impact this time and will be bringing a variety of cars to the 2016 Auto Expo. This list is expected to include both vehicles that will be launched here as well as eye-candy to entice visitors.
We know that they will be bringing the Spin MPV as well as a facelifted version of the Cruze sedan. The Spin MPV had been announced in mid-2015 and since then has been spotted testing on multiple occasions. It will be offered with the 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine that produces 75bhp and 190Nm of torque; a move that is expected to aid it in driveability but achieve decent fuel efficiency at the same time. The Spin will sit between the Enjoy and the Tavera in Chevrolet’s hierarchy.
The facelifted Cruze will get some cosmetic upgrades in the form of new bumpers and LED DRLs for the headlights which will now be projectors. The cabin will get the American automaker’s MYLINK infotainment system. Currently, only the Trailblazer is offered in the RWD configuration for the Indian market and we expect that they will show the AWD variant of the D-segment SUV to gauge public reaction.
Lastly, we also expect that they will bring updated versions of their range current range of cars. This includes the Sail twins, Beat and Spark hatchback as well as the Enjoy MPV. The Sail sedan was unveiled at the end of last year in China as the Sail 3. It gets cosmetic updates both internally and externally and we believe that this will be carried over to India for both the cars.
