2015 Hyundai Elantra launched at Rs 14.13 lakh in India

Hyundai Motor India, today, announced the launch of the premium 2015 Elantra. It has been priced in the range of Rs 14.13 lakh to Rs 17.94 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). First introduced in 2004, the new Elantra aims to set a higher standard in the premium sedan segment. With the launch of the new Elantra, Hyundai has brought its portfolio of premium products to Indian customers. 

On the exterior, the Hyundai Elantra gets a stylish bold front bumper with chrome insert grille, projector headlamp with LED Guide Light, trendy fog lamps, a chrome window belt-line, a chrome tip exhaust, new design 10-spoke 16” alloy wheels, electrically adjustable and retractable outside rear view mirror, new LED effect,  rear combination lamps and sporty dual tone rear bumpers and chrome door handles.

The 2015 Elantra’s premium interior comes with a host of segment-first features. It is equipped with comfortable upholstery and ergonomic contours with a sporty black interior. The full leather seats exude modernity and the spacious cabin blends perfectly with the exterior, highlighting its premium appeal.  Apart from the leather treatment the new Elantra gets metallic scuff plates, Sporty Aluminium pedals and an ergonomically positioned console box with an armrest and rear AC vents. The interior skillfully combines a newly interpreted, sporty and flowing centre console design. The sportily designed, width-emphasising dashboard, newly integrated control and display system represents its modern premium philosophy.

Additional features include smart key with push button start, auto cruise control and 10-way power seats with lumbar support. 

Coming to the party package inside, the multimedia system combines entertainment, information and communication: The new generation audio features  an entirely newly designed user interface and graphics, 4.3”colour TFT LCD display and steering-mounted controls also enables networking with mobile devices via Bluetooth®  which is capable of rear-camera display. 

The 2015 Hyundai Elantra is also kitted out with safety features like six airbags, Vehicle stability Management, Electronic Stability Control, ABS with EBD, Hill Assist Control, Electro Chromic Mirror, rearview camera, Rear-Parking Sensors and a front and rear disc brake.

Under the hood, the new Elantra gets a 1.8 Dual VTVT Petrol with 1,797cc displacement producing 149bhp and torque of 177.50Nm. The 1.6 VGT CRDi Diesel comes with a displacement of 1,582cc and produces 128bhp and torque of 259.87Nm The 6-speed petrol MT variant returns an ARAI fuel efficiency of 16.3kmpl  and 14.34kmpl for the diesel 6-speed AT. The 1.6 VGT CRDi Diesel  returns an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 22.7kmpl  for the manual (Best in segment) and 19.11kmpl for the automatic.
