Would like to share my experience of the Hector Select Pro variant bought recently. First of all, the buying experience was a good experience, as on that day the staff were loaded with lots of deliveries and the vehicle was not properly cleaned, but I understood that they are facing work overload. As I purchased a unused 2025 manufacture vehicle, it had many flaws than I expected, on this point I would recommend that if a buyer can increase the budget, go with a newly manufactured vehicle, I did a big mistake actually, and got less discounts also, as the price of new Hector has been reduced by 2 lakhs from the companies side, I dont know how I missed out the calculation, may be due to excitement, which became a problem with my buying experience. Mahindra was offering up to 4 lakhs discount on the 2025-manufactured vehicle, and in Hector, I got only 2.30 lakhs discount. Now about the riding experience, it's a pleasure driving an automatic, it's super smooth and non-jerky, but the mileage in the city is in single digits, i.e. It's giving me 8-9 kmpl. But driving A Hector CVT is a pleasure. About its looks, it's a gorgeous-looking car, which is why I cancelled buying an XUV 700. Its eye catchy and road presence can be felt in the eyes of passersby. The service and maintenance cost is manageable, its not a big concern. Now about the Pros and Cons. Pros.. 1. Great Road Presence. 2. Rich in features 3. Smooth Gearbox. 4. Comfortable Car 5. Highly Spacious Cabin and Bootspace 6. Big infotainment 7. Good Ground clearance Cons.. 1. The big screen seems useless sometimes, and while operating it, the concentration is hampered. 2. If you have less parking space, don't go with this. 3. Service centre availability. 4. Sometimes the air conditioner shuts down automatically. 5. Tyre noise. 6. Auto fold mirror feature missing. 7. The MID fails to show the real-time mileage, and it is shown in the smart app only. 8. In the brochure, it is mentioned that themes can be downloaded, but that option is not available. Also, when we select a theme, it gets changed to the default when we shut down the vehicle, and again restart it; it's a technical glitch. 9. Take commitments from the sales team in writing. 10. Low resale value. 11. Average sound quality Final verdict is if you have other options, consider them first, but if you want to enjoy in less budget, go with Hector

The fiat sourced engine is tuned best in MG hector with great performance but even better mileage which other vehicles with same engine lack like harrier and even jeep compass, MG somehow got a great balance here, comfortable ride quality though Body roll can be felt and is very much evident, cabin feel is superior even segment above vehicles cant match the luxury, only few more controll physical button could have been given by manufacturer but its a trend and MG is one of those who started this minimal cabin feel. Overall best family car, with huge boot space as 5 seater makes more sense, Luxury at every touchpoint in cabin, good road presence. Was best in segment when launched but chinese sentiments in India overpowered the vehicle true potential. And also the biggest Negative is MG doesnt offer diesel in Automatic gear configuration and this is a huge miss by company and also honestly they should stop selling 1.5 turbo petrol as its very underpowered for this size of car and its mileage is the worst ever.
