Hector Price in Ahmedabad

I’ve been using the MG Hector for a while now, and I must say it’s one of the most comfortable and feature-packed SUVs I’ve driven in this price range. The first thing that strikes you when you sit inside is the sheer space – it feels airy and roomy, both in the front and at the back. My family especially loves the wide cabin and the generous legroom, which makes long trips much more relaxed. The interior feels premium with soft-touch materials, a huge infotainment screen, and ambient lighting. The 14-inch touchscreen looks impressive, and although it can lag a little at times, it’s loaded with features like wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, navigation, and voice commands. The panoramic sunroof is another highlight – it adds to the overall luxury feel and is a hit with kids. In terms of driving, the Hector is more about comfort than sporty performance. The suspension is soft, so it absorbs potholes and rough patches well, especially on city roads. On highways, it feels stable, but you do notice a bit of body roll when taking sharp turns. The steering is light, which is great for city driving and parking, but it doesn’t give very strong feedback at high speeds. I’ve been driving the petrol CVT version, and while it’s smooth and easy to handle in traffic, the fuel efficiency isn’t the best – especially in the city, where it can feel thirsty. On highways, it delivers better mileage, but this is definitely not its strongest point. Friends of mine who drive the diesel variant say it’s more efficient, but unfortunately, the Hector doesn’t offer a diesel automatic, which could have been perfect. Safety is one of the big positives. My car has six airbags, ESP, hill-hold, and traction control, which give me confidence on longer drives. The ADAS features, like lane-keep assist and adaptive cruise control, also make highway driving more convenient, though they take a little time to get used to. As for practicality, the boot space is more than enough for family luggage. In the Hector Plus version, the third row is good for kids but not very comfortable for adults. One thing I did find challenging at first was parking in crowded city areas – the SUV is big, and you need to be careful in tight spots, though the 360-degree camera does help. On the service side, I’ve had a mixed experience. The regular maintenance costs are slightly higher compared to simpler SUVs, and sometimes the availability of parts or the responsiveness of service centers isn’t as quick as I’d like. But overall, MG has been improving its service network, and I haven’t faced any major breakdowns or reliability issues. To sum it up, the MG Hector is a car that shines in comfort, features, and space. It’s not meant for enthusiastic driving or people chasing fuel efficiency, but if you want a family SUV that feels premium, safe, and tech-loaded, it’s a great option. I personally enjoy driving it for its comfort and convenience, and my family absolutely loves it for the space and features.

Outstanding performance and nice features, but price is a little high. mileage in diesel gives 15.12. It drives smoothly, but all I say is that taking this car is worth it. Nice colours available.

I bought this car in 2020 and never imagined it to have a higher maintenance cost than a luxury car. The engine, clutch, and gear problems are persistent. The service team will never discuss the service history of your car, rather just mint money by making invoices. I have spent nearly 2L on the car on these issues and yet they say the clutch is a consumable part bound to be changed every 6 months. MG Motors you need to up the game to survive in India.
