Skoda Rapid Ambition, ambitious enough?

Buying is easy and convenient compared to other brands as they (Skoda) sell less cars. Driving experience is exceptional, however, when gear shifts occur on high speeds one could notice serious lags. Looks are old but classic so not for everyone's taste, Skoda hardly made any changes to the exteriors. Interiors look posh but in terms of features, Skoda cannot compete, for example- Infotainment system cannot connect with your phone wirelessly, there is no air purifier keeping in mind the pollution in India. There is no cruise control even after paying 13 lakhs, reverse parking camera was a no show too. Lastly, had it not been for European build quality, I would have surely chosen some other car in this segment.

Rapid, Value for Money !!

All new 1 litre TSI engine with just 1100kg weight gives you enough punch with this price range. 110 hp & 175Nm from 1 litre is sufficient though you will rev the engine more to pump out every inch of hp from engine which result in poor fuel economy. You expect to get 12-15 km/l in city. Manual gearbox is smooth to shift though you need to shift down for overtakes if you are not in power band. Being Skoda, you expect a classic rigid built quality. Infotainment is borrowed from VW which is perfect considering the price range. You will expect a ride to be little bit hard. On 100% loading condition ( 4 passengers & some luggage ) GC will drop down to 110-120 mm which will struggle for potholes & rough roads. Overall Skoda Rapid is a perfect value for money.

1. My uncle buy this car but his experience is good 2.Driving is best in statement 3.looks is good & performance is mind blowing & it made for enthusiast 4. Servicing is pretty high but it's OK 5.depend upon the driver or owner

Great price, greater product

I compared all SIX cars in this range. All have similar size & engine power. THIS has by far the higher torque. It is by far the cheapest & sporty looking. EXTREME value for money. Add to that, it is from the stable of the largest auto seller of the world, giving you German quality. Along with that, it is the only car in this class with a TURBO engine. In my humble opinion, one NEED NOT spend a penny more to get the IDEAL car, money being of no consequence, high or low.

Driving is so smooth and sturdy that I felt in Audi A4. Same comfort as a premium car in very reasonable price car, bravo. If your budget is under 8-9Lacs and still want to enjoy features and safety of premium segment cars, give Rapid a try. Value for money

THE HANDLING AS YOU KNOW ALL VW GROUP CARS ARE GOOD AT IT THE RAPID IS VFM NOT MUCH FEATURES BUT STILL ALL THE BASICS ONCE YOU DRIVE THE CAR YOU WILL START LOVING IT , THE ACCELERATION THE BRAKING POWER ALL THIS IS JUST UNBELIEVABLE AT THIS PRICE POINT SKODA OFFERS RAPID AT THIS PRICE BUT AN IT SHOULD BE A SEGMENT UPWARDS THAN THIS HONDA CITY, VERNA, CIAZ ARE NOTHING IN FRONT OF IT , RAPID IS SUCH AN AMAZING CAR.

Pros: performance, build quality, engine durability, exterior looks, comfortable seats with premium leather upholstery, decent mileage on highways Cons: use of hard plastic everywhere in the interiors, rear seat space, service experience can be better.

Car is above good for the price in all aspects, but the dealers are not transparent with customers, especially when comes to accessories kit, dealers are not providing kit while delivery the car. This issue happened in many places, Skoda has to improve the service on this issue else customer relationship with Skoda goes down.

Still, I have not bought, but this car too good for driving. About looks, it really makes me feel luxurious, like other expensive cars.servicing and maintenance I didn't get the idea. Ok I know about the car which short but enough..

Far better option than Verna / Ciaz in term of everything Quality, Service, Interior, Safety and Above all more classy and luxury, it's an eye-catching machine. You will get all the necessary things in the basic version only. If you are looking for full-size Sedan than Rapid is highly recommended from my side.
