Jaguar India reports 300 per cent increase in XJ sales in 12 months

Jaguar Land Rover has announced that its flagship model, the XJ has grown 300 per cent in the last 12 months since it started assembling the car in India in June 2014.

While the company hasn’t disclosed the official sales numbers, we believe that the local assembly of this car has helped the company gain additional sales. The XJ is available in three variants – 2.0-litre petrol, 3.0-litre diesel premium luxury and 3.0-litre diesel portfolio. The three variants are priced at Rs 97.22 lakh, Rs 96.05 lakh and Rs 1.03 crore, (ex-showroom Mumbai) respectively.

Currently, all Jaguar cars are available in India through 21 authorised retailers in Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi (at Janpath & Mathura Road), Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kochi, Karnal, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune and Raipur.

“We are delighted with the outstanding sales performance of Jaguar XJ. This performance is a testimony to the overwhelming response received from our customers, who truly appreciate the refined taste for elegant British style, luxury, design and sophistication. XJ’s exquisite design and styling turns heads wherever the car makes an appearance. It's exceptional standards of luxury, dynamic driving experience and craftsmanship appeals to our discerning customers who want to make a statement about their individuality and are looking to affirm their status amongst their peers. We look forward to further strengthening this position in 2015," said Rohit Suri, president, Jaguar Land Rover.
