Honda first took the covers off the latest-gen 2014 Accord Hybrid late last year. Loaded with premium features and a fuel efficient-drivetrain, the luxury sedan has been received well in the US. Honda India has now brought the Accord Hybrid to India at the 2014 Auto Expo, to give us all a glimpse of how luxurious and efficient the car really is.
Talking about the design, the Accord Hybrid looks rather appealing with its discreet overall design, just like the standard model. In order to differentiate this new model from the standard one, Honda has added a distinctive looking set of alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, a rear spoiler and Hybrid badging. Inside, the dashboard gets a unique display which shows everything there is to know about the Hybrid system onboard.
Unlike the earlier model, the electric motor in the Accord Hybrid is not paired with a high-performance V6 engine to make it the flagship model. The electric motor in the new model, instead, works in combination with a 2-litre, 4-cylinder engine. Not surprising then the new Accord Hybrid is said to be the most economical car in its class.
