This is the best n d coolest car of india, very speedy, stylish n good fuel economy n low maintainence! I LOVE IT N INDIA 2!!! JAI HIND!!!

The New Swift Glam. As the name suggests , very glamourous. Though no changes in the exterior but thr Maruti ppl have definitely have started feeling the heat form the likes of i20 and grand punto!! Coz the interiors in the Swift Glam are unmatched: SX4 front seats, integrated 4 speaker audion sysyem, black and beige  dual tone interiors, rear parcel trays and keyless remote entry. looks very plush form the inside, the premium hatch back look.

I picked up my Glam yesterday from Pasco.  Till now cannot write about the FE and the performance metrics!!

 

But guyz i have a query?? i plan to go to Jaipur in 3-4 days form Gurgaon. The distance is around 260 km.So please suggest me the optimum driving conditions as my car had done olny 120 kms. Can i drive down the NH8 at crusing speed like 100-120 km/h ?? provided the engine is very new??

 

please give me suggestions and advice on the same...

I owned this car last month in Gwalior. The car is realy give luxry comfort and good driving experience. But there is minor buy important defect I observe while driving.

1.Indicator signl in meter board and speed meter reading from 80 to 120 is not visible while driving because the stearing comes in betwee the eye singht and meter board. For seeing the indicator you would have to curve your head down ward

2. Driver's seat is low it should be some high. Right arm do not get proper rest because  of the hight of window.

Maruti Car is perfect in all the ways the dealer should also behave according to the brand.

GOOD LOOKING, COFARTABLE, SMOOTH RUNNING SPACIOUS, SUFFICIENT LUGGAGE CABIN, GIVE GOOD IMPRSSION .INTERIORS AVERAGE. DRIVERS SEAT'S HIGHT IS NOT PROPER.

 

Exterior Exteriors look good.picking a white car will help you a lot as exterioirs can be modified as we like and we get more choice over other colors.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) But comming to interiors .there some severe problem with driver seat. I started getting backpain.

After a 150 km drive. and gear is a bit hard but that doesnt effect much.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is awesome and give a very good milage. I put 1000 Rs petrol every week and i travel 420 kms with that.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Vehicle is very much balanced and driver will have perfect control over it.you will be tempted to go beyond 120 kms.

 

Final Words Over all the car is awesome !!!

 

Areas of improvement Vehicle driver seat should not be cup shaped . and gear  should be abit smooth. and as it is a desel engine sound of engine is a bit more compared to petrol engines but still its very smooth.

Exterior As everyone knows, the SWIFT is famous for its style. I liked the appearance of swift, it is very good. The focus of the headlight is very appreciating. Else on modifying you get a very good view of your swift.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interior of my ride is just amazing. It is very spacious. And also the comfort level is really good. But i feel that the boot space is a bit less. As far as the features are concerned, SWIFT ZXI get a company fitted nippon audio system, which i liked a lot. The temperature control in ZXI is good.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The 1197cc (1.2l) engine provides good power and torque. The acceleration, how i feel is, way better than the other cars in its range. The gear box is also smooth. I think that the fuel efficiency is very good. It should have been more.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality of SWIFT ZXI is appreciable. And the handling and the grip is really really good. I liked it a lot.

 

Final Words Swift zxi is the ultimate car for the hatchback users. Though, the fuel economy is a little less, but it is a unique ride.

This is THE SAME Suzuki Swift, design and components, that is made in Japan, Hungary or India, so it DOES refer to the Maruti  Indian Swift. Mine was mad in Japan, the failed engine crakshaft sensors had a Japanese btrand name on them.  OK  An indian Swift will not freeze the occupants to death if it has engie failure, (maybe in the Himalayas), but it sure would be a headache if the engine fails in the country sîde.

 

Exterior Brittle flimsy thin plastic bumpers front and rear that crack and splinter with any more than a slight shove.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very poor lumbar support. Back pain after 30 mins driving. I needed to put in a specially shaped  cushion.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine warning light came on in subzero temps. snow, country road. Engine coughed, spluttered, backfired, stalled, and just just restarted. Manual states shut down engine immediately if light comes on. My sonhad a choice, freeze to death or risk total falure and slowly drive home. He staggered home. Next day mechanics said, lucky you made it, engine could have been totally destroyed with more driving. Cause. BOTH crankshaft sensors failed! Total mileage 17,000, (26,000 kms), Just out of time guarantee. Agent said pay-up. I asked if they were going to investigate why 2 sensors failed. NO, they said, the  sensors are now your property, bye, bye. Was I expected to go to a lab to check them and find out why both failed?

Suzuki Austria said, Tough, out of guarantee, pay up. I mailed 3 different Suzuki Austira managers/dierctors as to  why would these sensors have  failed, and that nearly led to a catastophe. NO response.

Never another Swift, and in this case, never another Suzuki.

Final Words Wouldnt recommend  Suzuki Swift, or any Suzuki after their attitude, to anybody. I though I had it sorted out for winter, and bought my son a 4 wheel drive, best Michelin Alpines, BUT THE WRONG CAR.

Faulty design or shoddy components. Dunno. Suzuki dont care as long as they got  their 300€ for two tiny sensors. Much more expensive than on my Merc 300E but that only needed one sensor in 20 years, and it was minor one.

 

Areas of improvement Design? Components? Customer respect? Suzuki dont seem to care, so buyer beware!! Suzuki Austria and local agent showed ZERO interest in this case. Prospective buyers must be aware of this.

Exterior Outer body quality  has to be improved. The metal sheets are very thin.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features are Ok with LDI, but I feel that they should given some basic accessories like day and night mirror. Need to improve the inner quality of doors. More rattling noise while driving .Talking about space and comfort is ok with swift. We cannot say that there is no space. It is ideal for three people to sit back for short drives.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I had a big confusion betwen Ford figo TDCI and Swift CRDI . Finally I go with swift on June 21 2010 and topped up 8500 Km . Reaching the third service with OMS motors.

Maruti has given the customers a treat by giving an amazing engine. Which has excellent pickup without Turbo Lag. In terms with Fuel economy it gives me 15 km/L in City and Highways it gives me 20+ Km/L. But it is better not to push your car more than 120 km. Which will strain your car and also drinks more Fuel. Moreover going in 100 to 120 Km Gives you stability and control over the vehicle. Gear box is very good and no strain while changing the gears.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is very good in swift. But very often you need to change the gears from 3rd to 2nd. Like Hyndai this does not have the synch in gears and this is because of Lower RPM with more PS ( 19PS@2000RPM). Handling is also good and driver do have good control in the car. But breaking has to improved for this powerful Engine.

 

Final Words Good car with all expectations by an individual in terms of price and performance. But maruti has to work out on the delivery schedule. This is irritating customers. They are creating an artificial scarcity by not giving a proper delivery schedule and taking 2 months for delivery. This is taking customers to other product. Hope apart from Maruti all the competitors are having good delivery schedule. Maruti has to truly work on this issue. Which will take there market more heights.

 

Areas of improvement Need to improve the outer and inner quality of the car. Maruti has to keep in Mind that giving a good Engine with good performance and fuel efficiency does not solve the customer expectation apart from that customers expect good quality of interior and exteriors of the product. If You take SX4  it has good quality but poor performance and mileage. So it doesnt reaches the customer. Keeping in Mind that customer will look a product in all the aspects.

Hope maruti has to give a customer whole quality package in regard with performance, mileage, quality.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

 Sufficiant for a small family of 2+1. Good Safety Features-on par with Premium Brands. However, Interior Finish can be improved.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

 Good Engine performance so far (Mine is old Engine -Not K Series). Gives 15Km/l - Without AC in City Driving and 12-13km/l with AC in City Driving. Have Got even 19km/l on Highways.

Ride Quality & Handling

 Ride Quality and Handling are extremely Good. Have touched 160 effortlessly. Good Mileage as well. HAve done 25000 kms

Final Words

 Very Good Car , Extremely Happy. Low on Maintenance as well.

Areas of improvement  

 Interior Finish. Tyes can be changed.Hope this is done in the 2011 version of Swift.                                                                                                                    

 

Loaded with Features as that of a High End Car, ABS,EBD,EPS,AirBags,Beautiful StyleRattling Sound inside the Cabin at low Speeds,Inferior OE Tyres (JK),

 

Engine is ok. Good pulling power. But engine is not at all good. There is engingine oil problem. Enignine oil is comming less in everymile running. If the engine is good engine oil do burn out.The quantity or oil will be there in the oil tank. In my car after 1000 km  running  there is one litter oil found less in the tank. After three thousand K.M. running the warning light will come. I informed the dealer and they are adding engine oil every time. I bought the car in 25th april 2009. I hope the comany will solve the problem. Other wise it disgrace for the company. I have four years warrenty for the car. Now twenty thousnd Kilo meter of running compeleted. I am going to give the car for  the third serviceing. I have already infomed the dealer about the probelm. My dealer is the (AVG Motors;Kottayam'; Kerala). Beofore completing the ten thosuand Kilo Meters of running I foud the probem and  informedthe  deler but d they didn't do any thing.
