      Exterior

I really need not mention but the car look bold for the segment it was launched in. fiesta's body bulid is really far more superior than SX4 or swift, believe me i have experienced it first hand.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

The interior is specious enough as well. the driver seat is more than perfect for a 6 feet tall guy. i dont know y people keep tellin that rear seat aint that comfortable but believe me guys i have put 4 guys of 150 lbs each on couple of occasion in the back seat, and they seem to fit in well, if not too comfortable. the dash board is well designed. fiesta limited features almost all of basic stuff but the music system is cheap. it has no remort control. no aux player connection and no USB connection.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Engines a pack a punch. it will beat any car on pick up for its class. as far as the fuel economy goes i guess it is decent enough as well. i get an averagre of 12 - 13 km. i know most will beg to differ on this but i guess lot depends on how u drive. altough i know that swift would give u a better average with same drivin stlye. gearbox is like a hot knive sliding through butter. no doubt ford is best at it.

      Ride Quality & Handling

the handelin of the car is the best thing about it. i have driven swift, aveo, indigo and none of them get even close to fiesta on handeling and control. truely a pleasure to drive. even at 150 kmph the car had absolutely no vibration. but i do have to say that the cars suspension are not so great.

      Final Words

i would say that i have no regrets that i bought this car but when it come to servicing the car,  ford is the worst . unreasonable charges on nominal things. every time i had visited the service center i have seen atleast one customers creeping on charges.

      Areas of improvement

ford needs to improve on customer care. servicing a car might not sound a big deal for the first time car buyers but buyin a car and maintaining it for years to come are way to different things.

good style, interior, decent fuel ecomomy, handling,Service centers

      Exterior

Definetly the best looking car in its segment (I major reason why i didn't go for a City or Sx4m,  and i'm kicking my self now)

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

good leg space and very comfortable seats, and the leather seats in my Sxi add to that

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Impressive fuel effiency.  Good pickup (considering a diesel engine).

      Ride Quality & Handling

A solid drive.  Very confident on the road.

      Final Words

But, after sales service sucks. suspension is pathetic, requires continous changing of parts.  Its great for good roads, but can't take bad roads (not by indian stds, i mean Delhi roads).

Won't last you more than 3 yrs....  unless you're willing to shell out huge amouts on maintanence.

      Areas of improvement

Man, get some good ppl to service your car. Train them so that they don't just experiment with the cars in the workshop.

Improve the quality of mechanical components and spares.   Stop trying to make money at the expense of frustrated customers.

Great looks, solid drive, excellent fuel economy.Poor Suspension, Poor after sales service, Maintanence very expensive, No MP3, No alloys.

Ford Fiesta 1.4TDCi Diesel SXi (Nov 2006 model)

GOING IS GOOD: I have relied on my car extensively. Have driven it for 48000 kms. The car has seen all kinds of road and terrain. It's running @ 14kms/L in chennai city, while on highways I get 19/L. On highways I had kept it going at speeds of 120 - 135 Kms, where ever possible and felt no issues, but for the engine noise. I had heavily relied on its braking abilities. A/C had been fantastic so far. I use the car almost daily for around 30 kms - Up/Down to my office. I do services only at 10k intervals and not every 6 months. I like the comfy interiors/ride and the car's looks.

PARTS CHANGED SO FAR: Battery at end of 3yrs. At 25k kms 3 shock absorbers. The radiator fan assembly at 40k - the electronics inside had become corroded. Right hand side Mirror assembly with all the motors for the reason of stem crack. Twice changed the Pulley assembly - was producing a hissing noise. Other parts changed are consumable category.

ISSUES SO FAR: Seems FORD has no policy for repairs. Whenever a small part of an assembly get's broken, they ONLY have the option of changing the entire assembly. I really hate them there.

I was told to change all brake shoes and brake clutch assembly at 40k kms by the service personal at MPL Velachery. I took a chance to say - leave them without changing and that I would see what happens if not changed, for I had not experienced any issues with the brakes really. The service personal said that they would work for another 1500 kms approximately. It turned out that they are doing good even after 8000 kms, with no issues.

After I changed my shock absorbers, I did not feel any great difference in ride quality, but they gave me 3 faulty ones :). Not sure how to introspect the ones installed. I felt that they just are waiting for a chance to replace any parts that one complaints about, on top of their list.

Quality of service at MPL Velachery had been very poor. I had to visit the service station again on 2 occassions after taking the vehicle back from regular service. Once was for a faulty gear rod assembly - They were getting hard to operate after a drive of 45 mins. Second time I had steering column vibration at speeds of 40-60K. This time they had done wheel balancing and completly messed up with it. I had to take the vehicle to MRF tyre care to fix this.

I have anti rust coating done on the underbody. But I could see the door hinge area getting rusty. When I put sun film 10 mts back, I noticed the interiors of the doors had rust formations. That's very poor quality standards maintained by FORD. I park my vehicle on a open parking lot. The same was the treatment given to my earlier cars a HONDA Accord and MARUTI which I used them each for 4 yrs, without any complaints on rust. So I don't think FORD can make that an excuse. I should admit that the exterior paint finish quality is good and shows the vehicle equivalent to a new one; deceives potential buyers.

I don't want to hear anything more on resale value. They are the worst one can get, as far I have heard. So I am now compulsively bound to the vehicle and continue to use the vehicle as long I can.

We bought our Fiesta on 24th Jan, 2006 and the car has completed over 2 years and 30,000 km.
The car is simply amazing. It is very easy to drive in traffic because there is loads of torque available near 2000RPM, however, the car is a bit slow on empty roads because Ford designed the engine in such a way that it scores on Fuel Economy and is easy to drive in traffic instead of it being like the Verna which isn't as Fuel Economical and a pain to drive in traffic due to its larger turbo though the Verna is more fun in a straight line.
The Fiesta is also very driver friendly and stable at high speeds. We've taken the car upto 176kmph on the expressway and the car was a joy. In the city, visibility is amazing and so is the manuevereability.
The engine, is very refined and it is very difficult to believe it's a diesel. It is a bit noisy when you start it early in the morning but then it's quieter than a few petrols. Also, you can't feel the gear and steering vibrating like you do in other diesel vehicles.
Fuel Economy is amazing and the car gives 14kmpl in Mumbai traffic with the A.C. on full time. On the highway, it gave 19kmpl while keeping the speeds at around 120kmph.
Maintainance cost isn't a lot and is pretty reasonable unlike what people out here make it to seem. We spent 5000 on one service and that included changing all the filters and the oils and that is very good value for money.
I think the car is VFM as well as it costs less than the Verna, a car which is slightly bigger and more powerful but is let down by suspension issues, braking issues, poor interiors and to an extenet reliability issues as well.
I would whole heartedly reccommend this car to anyone looking for a mid size sedan. The only one compliant I have is that the car is a bit small in comparison to the Verna/Aveo/NHC but it isn't that small that 4 average sized people would find uncomfortable.
      I love this car!

Exterior I m having 08 sxi 1.6, great car to drive. If u r looking for fun driving then u left with only & only one option & its fiesta 1.6. No one can match this maddness, c if u compare with city or verna etc these r the cars driven by excutives, doctor, or professional who r more concern about milage but if u need fun u cant afford a city or else. No dout city is a good car its a benchmark in its segment. but when u r asking for performance. only fida i e.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are not as good as others but its ok. not even so bad.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I m driving this car in city & highway regularly & to my biggest surprice on highway it delivers 17 to 18 km/ltr where as in city its 12 & i think for these sort of cars its ok. AB KYA BACHHE KI JAAN LOGE. dont expect 17 & 20. If u really want to get 100% of this car or u want to c what it can do for u... then take it to any ghat section..just consider ur self as rally driver & i bet boss it will not let u down on any moment. but u need one thing & i e crazzynes & maddness. must!

Final Words In short its a pur drivers car not a doctors car. If u love driving then GO FIDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...

Just bought Fiesta Exi Diesel. After resarching almost for a month. Also considered Dzire, Logan & Fabia......but Fiesta was the final choice. Dzire is not so attractive, less inside space and a "Copy Cat" of Swift, nothing new. Logan is VFM, but not so stylish. Fabia is highly over priced. So, heres the verdict....

An Excellent Vehicle. Very Stylist & eye catching. Pick up is great. Easily manuverable & comfortable driving. Fuel Economy is 16+ in city with 50 % AC ON (First Servicing is yet to be done). Feels lika a King on highways!!!!

      Cons:

A bit expensive, cud be 60-70K less from current price.

Very Less Ground Clearance, must be cautious while driving on village & bumpy roads.

Overall, an excellent car.....especially when u r looking for a Diesel Car in 6-8 lacs segment..

ya, one more thing, I opted for 3 years comprehensive warranty...

Exterior Good, decent size for Delhi road, spl during office hours.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good, have covered 21,000 Kms in 8 months, Max speed on Delhi CHD highway 160Kms/ hours with three people 7 luggage, this time I have got the synthatic oil.

Ride Quality & Handling Excellent, doenot feel that you are driving at 160 on Expressway Noida.

Final Words Really a great car, When I planned to buy this car, I about 80% said that I should not buy this car, as maintance is high, when I read Blogs and have spoken with people on Blog, I found that this is a car which is right for me, even if i spead 10% additional every month (that is about 3 service in an year (cost would be approx. 2000/-). when you drive this car for 50kms and then handedover an expensive car, you just feel the handling of Fiesta is far better than other cars. drive it and you will know it. Don't just go on my words. Drive the ABS model and try turning the car on curves. let me tell you, I have driven peugeot 504 in Nigeria and also Mitsubishi Megna (2.5) in Australia, I know why I love europian or Amrican cars. shape might not be too attractive. desnot seems that the feedback I got from all.

Areas of improvement Front & rear Shockers needs to be smooth, need a climate control, Bluethooth.

handling, ground clearance good (This is nor SUV), strong chasis, driver seat adjustment, Fuel ecoback seat space, bonnet opening leaver,
