Extreamly nice car to drive with  good  fuel economy.The pick up is very good.very good handling.but the after sales service won't be so good.it is a bit short on features.The new fiesta 1.6 s gives almost the same fuel economy as the old 1.4 model.

I have lost trust on Fiesta Car. I bought limited edition at end of last year for Rs.775000/- but the same car is now being offered as fiesta classic for Rs.655000/- which leads to a doubt whether my purchase was overpriced? or New fiesta classic is under quality? If a company decrease the price of same product (exactly same as fiesta) about 1.25 lakhs, surely it leads a doubt about the product. If they can afford to give the car for Rs.655000, then why did they charged 775000 eariler? So, their earlier customers were made fool by paying 775000 for the car which actually worth only 655000/-. Today world, considering the price of steel, no such decrease in price is possible if the product is same. So, only there is two possibility 1) Earlier fiesta EXI overpriced for no reason by putting the burden on customer  or) New Fiesta Classic is under quality. So, the company should clarify how could they drastically reduce the price for same product  without compromising the quality. How they console the earlier customers who had purchased fiesta EXI ZXI and SXI?

But Even after reporting the issue to MD, It seems Ford doesn't have that efficient Customer support to accept such issues which have been accepted by several Fiesta owners.

Hi... This is Ashok, I brought Ford Fiesta 1.4ZXI - TDCI in Nov-2008. It is now more than 1 Year I had drove this vehicle and think I will be able to provide correct review. Firstly the Pros: a) Fuel Economy is one the best in its Class... I had drove my car for more than 30,000 KM in a year and my actual expenses towards fuel is only Rs. 66,250.00 at an average of 16.70 KM/Ltr (2.05 Rs/KM). During this time fuel average ranged from 14 KM/Ltr (Vigourous City traffic in Mid Jun-2009 with full AC on) to - 19.48 KM/Ltr (Highway Drive from Delhi to Agra) b) Handling is Superb: I had drive this all 30,000 KM in a year and believe me it is a great car to drive. Sometimes you tend to feel the extent of driving experience which doesn't come till you start driving Rash/ high speeds where it is quite Noisy. as the matter of fact, any Diesel Vehicles are noisy and you really needs to accept the engine noise coming to your cabin. c) In most of the reviews of Ford vehicle particularly, there is always written about pricing of ford spares. My experience is somewhat different. I had 3 paid services and my average bill was around 4,000.00. (which includes polishing charges). I think spending around 10,000 - 15,000 rupees per year on your loved car costing more than 8 Lacs should be acceptable. As per my opinion, "Ford spares are costlier, but who needs it ?" I think this service cost will incrase by 2nd / 3rd year... and will update Now the Cons: a) First Cons is definately Rear Sitting. Whenever my mother sits in the rear seat. she is feeling she can't sit properly as the space between rear seat and back of front seat is too less. Just to mention I am able to feel that experience as I am always on driving seat and due to my height (5'-10"), I need to drive with front seat pushed till the end. Once front seat is pushed to the end, no body can sit on the rear seat comfortably. b) Ground Clearance: It is having very low Ground Clearance. It is good in terms of driving pleasure as this provides the stability to the vehicle during high speeds, But Thanks to the pot holes on Delhi Roads, this is one of the biggest problems I faced. C) Servicing from Dealer: This is also one of main features in most reviews of Ford Vehicles. Ford really needs to pull the socks of their dealers. I went to only one dealer in Noida (same dealer where I bought my vehcile in Mathura Road, Delhi), and faced quite some problems. first you need to book in advance for servicing. This is OK and same as other manufacturers, but they give you the time slot and service advisor name.. like you bring your vehicle at around 10:15 AM - 10:30 AM. But when you arrive at service station, as your service advisor is busy in other car (booked before/after your car (not to comment on special booking cars)), He will not entertain you till he is free, and other will not entertain you as they are not your so called service Advisor. In my 5 servicing (2 free + 3 paid) , It has never happened that my vehicle was attended on time frame given. This trend continues when the vehicle delivery is to be taken in the evening. More over, One time One of my Car's Head light bulb got fused, and It has taken more than 1 hour to replace !!!. Just to mention the Bulb was with me (in the Kit which comes along-with new vehicle) and not issued from their stores. Overall Ford Fiesta is one of the best diesel cars available in the segment minus the dealers.Good Fuel Economy, Aerodynamic LooksRear seating is Cramped, Low Ground Clearance, Poor Service from Dealers

I bought the Fiesta ZXI (Diesel)  in Oct 2006 and I feel the car is awesome. Maneuverability is too good and thats a huge advantage  in cities as you would have to make sharp turns at times. But even at high speeds taking curves seems so easy.

The mileage is also terrific. Even in a city like bangalore I get an average of 15 to 16 Kms per litre. That helps me save atleast Rs. 3000 per month on fuel (comparing the esteem i used to have before i bought this car).

When it comes to maintenance I feel its a little higher than hyundai. But service is good and on time. Expect to shell atleast Rs.1000/- whenever you go for a service. And if its the service at 30000 kms then they will ask to change the oil filter and other stuff and will cost around Rs.3000/-.

The biggest problem though is the ground clearance. I have lost count of the number of times I have banged the bottom. Its annoying!

ExteriorIt has a very basic exterior which will not attract a second glance, but the owners will steadily grow to love it because of its performance.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The styling is nice in inside. Ford has used good quality plastic and the feel is of a nice car. On 1.6 SXi Petrol you feel the money is well spent. Although the space in the back is little less you dont have the backaces when going on a lng drive and it is very silent inside the car.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox A very good engine, you can rely on it in the city to give you the acceleration you require to overtake and the brakes will keep you steady on your ground so that you don't sway left or right. You have to let go of the fuel economy which the car makes up in the performance, it will give you 10 KMPL in the city traffic and 12-14 KMPL on highways, it can go up to 18 KMPL if you drive economically, which is very hard to do.

 

Ride Quality & Handling It is a driver's car, you will enjoy driving it rather than being in the passenger seat. The Power Steering is brilliant and will give you the comfort of handling the car in tight spots, even while driving at very high speed it's precision is brilliant and you wont feel the weight of the car on your shoulders.

 

Final Words Over all if you are a Petrol Head and you want a car to fulfill your desire to feel that grunt of the engine and the adrenalin rush of the instant pickup this is a very good basic entry level car. It will open up your mind to the high end V Tech 2 liters and above engines.

 

Areas of improvement None what so ever as Ford has made a decent car and you can only make a decent car better by adding value to it which increases the price of the car.

Being an individual who will drive till medically certified unfit to do so, I went in for the Fiesta 1.6 ZXI Sp. Edition. The engine response and power obliterated every other rationale thought. But the awakening happened after the purchase. Being on the heavier side, and about 5.9 inches, first, the seat was not enough. It lacked thigh support and my clutch leg hurt after a while as it was pushing into the centre console.

My earlier car, the Esteem was far more comfortable and felt much more cushy then the ford. The leg space for friends in the back seat was not enough until & unless, I really pushed the driver & passenger seat closer to the dashboard. Honestly, only two well endowed persons can sit behind. The Swift seated 3 people behind more comfortably then the Fiesta.

Mileage was never more than 8 Kms in city limits. Driving not more than 15 Kms per day, I even spoke to the dealer about this and he just shrugged. The 6 year old Esteem gave me a decent 12 with the AC running.

Having said all this, the engine is still a peach. You get quite a kick in taking off at a signal point leaving everybody else behind. And some small things which makes you feel warm towards the car - the welcome light, doors don't lock via remote if any door is slightly open, the lights flash on the moniter when doors are not closed, the car feels solid to drive and interiors look much more classier than loud Honda City or the sparce SX4.

Exterior

Today is the first monthly B'day of my Ford Fiesta 1.6 ZXI (Lather) and done running of approx. 1000 Km but even though the duration is short and running is less to write a review but in Marathi we use to talk, Sheeta Varoon Bhatachi Pariksha (i.e. to know whether the rice is ready to serve one need not to eat the complete rice but can be checked by crushing few rice seeds). After through reserch for almost 6-8 months and taken test drive of almost all the cars in the segment, I shortlisted FIESTA, ANHC and Avon and finally taken a call to go for the Machine designed by a Mechanical Engineer.

Take it from me, it moves like a "KING  of the jungle" on the road and runs like a panther!! Very attractive and robust exterior and its different from all its competitors incl ANHC and SX4.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

My family and my mother is very much satisfied and happy with the interior and comford of the car...what else you want in life over and above the smile of your loved ones. Huge leg space at front and rare seats, very user-friendly and taken care of small-small needs of a family.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

No words to explain....very smooth and sturdy / powerful engine in this category. Its a Lambi race ka ghoda....I simply don't understand people talking about resale value and all that...live in present (present is a gift) and enjoy the beautiful and comfortable Fiesta man.

Ride Quality & Handling

Too comfortable, Shock absorbers are too gud, steering is very steady and you feel very very secured while driving the car. Safety is very much taken care by Ford. Thouse who has passion for driving a car...just go Fida with out exploring any other car in B+ segment as I did enough study and research:)

Exterior

Elegantly desinged exterior gives it a descent & sober look. I've purchased Sea Grey coloured Fiesta, which really make it look like luxurious & lavish car giving your car the second look guarantee

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Comfortable front & rear seats with beige coloured inviting interiors. It falls a bit short in the features list but that doent matters for those who want space, comfort & luxurious looks.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Too much fun to drive on 80+ speeds. A bit dull on low speeds. Fuel economy better than Swift Dezire.

 

Ride Quality & Handling

You dont have to mention much when you are driving a Ford, fantabuluos car in the ride & handling department

Final Words

Speaking about Ford, dont think much about it, just buy & enjoy its memorable drives. Kind request to people from Maharashtra, never purchase it at Kant Agencies, Nanded, worst services, arrogant & rude owner cheats with customers, spoiling the company's image.
