Scary experiences -regret my decision as AMT fails

Bought and using less than a year. Engine suddenly don't move and engine light is on. Meaning I can start the car and it won't move with engine light on. Can't trust this AMT any more from Datsun. Reason is that the automatic system fails. One time it happened that , I need off my car and wait for 30 min to see if the car drives and yes it goes. Scary experience and feel like I can't trust this any more. AMT system fails frequently. Over all car is good but with this drawback it's going to be scary experience as engine starts and it won't move. I regret my decision. Did not expect this from NISSAN. Thought I can buy with confidence but it is not the case.

AMT review - best car in this budget

It's a great car in this budget. Pros: 1-Tall boy gives an excellent view and confidence. 2-AMT 3- Creep function 4-Spacious cabin 5-4 years warranty 6-Decent mileage of 15-16. 7- Reasonable price. You can easily save between 1 to 1.50 lakhs when compared to others with similar features. 8 - High ground clearance Cons: 1-Door needs to be pushed a bit hard to close 2- Slight high NVH outside the car(not inside) Drive-in comfort speed and it's the best car.

Waste of hard earned money

The brakes failed within 1 year of purchasing the car and I am running behind the dealer for getting it resolved..the services are so poor that my car is at the service centre for more than a month now and they couldn't resolve my problem

Datsun redi go AMT breaks down in the middle of road

I have terrible experience with this car and I have to approach the consumer court as I am not able to find a solution for the issues in this car. The car breaks down in middle of the road often and there is high chance of accident because of this car. It's a hazardous car and please people never think of purchasing this car as the service center people shun you off and fail to solve the problems in the car. This car shouldn't be manufactured Infact as it poses a threat to someone's life.

Ready for redi-go

Supercar under budget. Have good ground clearance for village roads. Best for me and my family. After a long comparison, I choose this redi go Datsuns car. This is the best for middle-class families.

Best automatic at 5.5 lakhs

Excellent experience so far. Drives like a beauty. Bit stiff on the steering and brakes are harsher than normal. But you will get used to it in a jiffy. This car has some body roll.

Good budget car!

Overall good experience, marketing need to be improved! Highway mileage is 20, city mileage 13. Ground clearance is very good. 80 to 90kmph is the best speed. Beyond this vehicle vibrate. For city this is the best car.

Comfortable car

I drive this car last two month without any problems. Excellent car for small family. I used this car daily for office going. Its mileage also very good and my mother also drive this car smoothly in traffic very easily so it is good and safe for my family.

Best for first time car buyers

Was a good experience while driving, easy view from driving seat, low maintenance but local third party repairs can be a challenge to find, Engine vibrates and sound is heard inside the car while the engine is picking up speed in lower gears up to 3. Smooth on the highway and no imbalances.

Terrible car. Can not depend on it. You will be on-road waiting for technical assistance many times. Poor refined engine. Frequently shows faulty engine warning signal and means you are under trouble.
