Exterior Looks great, all people in my building are envious, the kids love it, they kiss my car :)

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) very spacious, comfortable, accessories used are basic, dashboard look like a toy sticker :( seat height is not adjustable and seat level is low.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox engine a bit noisy but quiet powerful, loses a bit of power while AC is on, fuel economy doesn;t seem great, gear shift is smooth, pickup is monsterous

Ride Quality & Handling ride quality is very good, handling is smooth and steering is feather light.  

Final Words Very good value for money, fun to drive, rode at 140 kmph yesterday, felt good but a bit scared as it was trying to fly off(maybe as there were no passengers, engine noise could not be heard inside after closing the windows but all others will be able to hear ur Rhino passing by :)

Areas of improvement the dashboard needs a change, it looks very stupid.

Exterior Beautiful, elegent, not very flashy.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Comfortable, spacious, no complaints.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Everything is very good except Fuel consumption. Against the claimed 16.8 KMPL it is giving only 12-13 kmpl on long drives. Gearshift is smooth and easy to handle.

Ride Quality & Handling Riding quality is very good , very comfortable in city as well as on highways. We went on a long drive to sariska wildlife sanctuary. It is a pleasure to drive this car in plains as well as in hilly or undulating terrain.

Exterior Average. Body paint and body strength are just about average. Not very strong or durable.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Cheap quality plastic. No al;arm if you leave your headlamp on. So you can come back to a dead battery! High end model does not have automatic window rolldown even on driver side. The audio speakers are really poor quality (Horrible). Even the audio system is poor quality - the volume control has already broken down. Space in rear is decent. Seats are comfortable. Noise from the dashboard required car to go to garage 4 times!

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine power is good but it has broken down twice. Overheating is a problem. Car is currently in the workshop, and the engine is being opened. To top it all, the dealer Grace Toyota Gurgaon is TERRIBLE - poor customer service (Hope Toyota is reading this).

Ride Quality & Handling Just about average ride quality and handling.

Final Words It is a CHEAP, POOR QUALITY CAR AND NOT A good quality inexpensive car. Bad value for money. Lost faith in Toyota.

Areas of improvement Rethink your philosophy! Cannot get away with poor quality in India. It will haunt you.

I bought Etios GD in Oct'13 and its been over 7 months and 60k kms now and the body shines like new. Love the looks. The stylish wfeel covers accentuate the good looks of my silver etios. The only issue is that  the body gets very easy scrathed and dented in mumbai traffic.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

 I have travelled extensively in mumbai and also to outstation trips with my family in this car and my family is fully happy with the space and comfort the car provides. 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

 Engine is smooth like butter. I have been getting a fuel economy of 15-16 kmpl in mumbai traffic with AC always on and 20kmpl on highway. Couldnt have asked for more. Gears are smooth. Absolutely glitch-free. Now I realise why people love toyota engines.

Ride Quality & Handling

 Very good ride quality. With the 50k kms service, I also got the tryres rotated as per the manuel book. 

Final Words

 Its been over 7 months and with every passing day, my love for my car increases.

Areas of improvement  

 The cabin could have been more expensive looking. I guess this is one area where all toyota cars get beaten from competition. Also, body should be more strong so that it doesnt get scratched easily.

Exterior Pretty decent,Alloy wheels,Boot is killer, Space,Comfort,Cooling of AC , Glove box is also huge you can store drinks in it very chilling.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)Optional Modification can be done through the company by paying 42,000/- more. By selecting your own colours for the interiors that would surely change the inner looks.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very Smooth, Nice tourque,gear shifts amazing.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Convincing and very nice while you are in bumper to bumper traffic the tourque really helps there is no need to change the gears again and again. A person won't get tired after driving it for hours and hours.

 

Final WordsJust take the etios blindly its a worth buy for sure. Its better to go for G opt or V model, Vx only will give you the controls of stereo on the stearing and side skirts other than that there is nothing to go for a vx model.

 

Areas of improvement Speedometer looks artificial they need to work on it and also the dashboard, looks pretty cheap. The company should have provided for an extra alloy wheel as stephany lower models no power stearing.

Exterior The car looks pretty decent like a Toyota should be.The front and sides invites glances on road.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very spacious, speedo console follows new trend of centeral location. Adjustable streeing good for drivind for tall or short drivers.Large glove with cooling a real innovation.And the trunk,huge space.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Powerful engine with good torque at lower RPM gives real good pick up without unneccessary down shifting of gears. Gear shifting is smooth.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Good power steering makes turns and cornering effortless.Ride quality too is good.Very stable on high speeds and on sharp turns.

 

Final Words Inspite of few bad reviews in these columns, I went ahead and bought it.Now I am a very happy person. I have a Swift too, and now find driving Etios better in pick up and road holding at speeds. 

 

Areas of improvement Seats should be improved for better cushioning and the black colour fabric must change to better inviting colours. Reversing with only one light at back is not good. Extra space near spare tire could be better utilised for tool storage than leaving a large open area.

 

Very spacious interiors,excellent pick up even at lower RPM,Glove comp cooling,adjust streeringseats could be better,reverse light only on driver side.

 

Exterior The Etios exterior is quite satisfactory. Though it gives an impression of being bulky , it has been designed well.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent. Roomy interiors especially for the long-legged passenger sitting behind. The upholstry is good upto V. The red and black colour tone in Vx look awful. A USB port must be provided by default on the music system. The centralized locking system must work automatically when the ignition is turned on.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Must say that I am disappointed with the engine noise. The petrol version sounds like a diesel engine. This is below the expectatins of a Toyota product. End of the day , after a long drive there is that feeling that the smoothness of a petrol engine is just not there. The mileage is hyped up. In actual fact I an not getting more than 11 km in city roads.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Good except for the diesel enginelike noise. The pick up is excellent.

 

Final Words Please do something about the noise.

 

Areas of improvement Toyota ( in the Middle East ) has a practice of supplying a small tin of paint along with the vehicle. This is an excellent idea to allow the customer to patch up minor abrasions. Can Toyota India do the same please.

Exterior Should have two reverse light, should have two wipers since single wiper does not work effectively in heavy downpour. engine nose is penetrating inside the cabin so should improve the sound proof system. ask for 50,000/- more and address immediately.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Verry specious and comfortable. however, the quality of seat should be little better and the lock of the rear seat should be remodeled as it breaks easily. in Gangtok we have 6-7 etios of which two cars have same problem , one is mine and the other one is our Chief Secretary's car.    Oh! like the boot space too. Air condition is also satisfactory. 

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I am very satisfied with the performance of the engine, its powerful. you can trust the car while overtaking. using a.c the car is giving more than 16 kmpl iin the highway however, in city it is giving 12 to 13 kmpl. i have already drove 2500 km but as of now i am satisfied with the gear box. i havent had any problem while changing the gear, its smooth.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Suspension is good after all it is toyota's car. even at 100 speed in hill, the car is behaving satisfactory.  

 

Final Words Its value for money, one cannot expect more than anything paying 5.50 lakh.

 

Areas of improvement I suggest the company to ask for 40,000/- to 50,000/- more and imporove the sound proofing and add duel wipers.

Exterior Reasonably Good exteriors.Before Buying I Had Taken Test Drives of Other Vehicles as Well. Major Factor Driving me to Buy etios was Price Point, Toyota Badge & Very Satisfying Test Drive with Major Points Scored on Power Steering And Exceptional Airconditiing, which when Compared with Other Vehicles in the Leage were Coming at Rs.2 Lacs Less in etios.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are Lack Lustre But Nevertheless They Gell Quiet well & Dont Look Gaudy. Space is Terriific inside & Sitting & exiting from Vehicle Is easy Unlike Most of Sedans. Road View for the Driver is Great Though The Positing of Rear View Mirror Somehow Hampers The Left Side View for the Driver Who is Slightly Tall.

I Am Most Dissappointed with The Poor Quality of Seats & Bumpers Are Very Light & are There in the Vehicle for Looks alone.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox engine Is Responsive & Gears Are Smooth. Though the engine Tends to be Noisy At Certain Speeds But even at Very HIGH SPEEDS The Car is Exceptionally Stable. Fuel economy is Low as Of Now & I Have Been Told That after 2nd Service It will be 14-15 KMPL.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is Good But Not Exceptional But Given The Price we are Paying One Should Be Satisfied Since One is Getting a Sedan at a Price of a Premium Hatchback.

Final Words Etios is Truly an amazing entry Level Sedan, Pleasure to Drive and enjoy effortless Gear Shift with Great Airconditioning.Buyer Is Getting Effectively Similar Features which Other Manufactures are Offering at 7.5 Lacs Upward.Yes There are Few Compromises to Be Made Than Overrall Power Steering, Tilt Steering, Great Ac, 1500 cc engine, Huge Boot Space, Toyota Badge 3 Years Warranty.

Areas of improvement Must Improve The Quality of Seats, Bumpers are Very weak, If the Car is wet & One Opens The Door The Droplets from the Roof Fall On The Seats Nearly 10 Inches Inside the Vehicle, Insulations Car Feels Noisy.
