Ford extends support to cars damaged by torrential rains

Ford India has announced special discounts on repairs of cars that were impaired by the recent rains and floods in Mumbai and other parts of Eastern India.

Ford has surprisingly decided to absorb 50 percent of the customer’s liability to pay for repairs that are being claimed through insurance! Surveyors from insurance companies have also been stationed at Ford service centres to facilitate a smooth processing of insurance claims.

Other special benefits for the affected Ford vehicles include one free engine oil replacement, 50 percent discount on anti-rust coating (underbody), and a 50 percent discount on labour charges for replacement of parts that are not covered under insurance.

N. Prabhu, VP-Customer Service, Ford India, said, “At Ford, we are committed to treat our customers like members of our own family. We understand that the unexpected floods would have caused financial strain to some of our customers and are happy to assist them.”

All Ford service centres in the affected areas will put in extra hours to expedite the repair work, and minimise inconvenience to Ford owners. The company is also offering a 20 percent discount on booking a self-driving car from ‘Zoomcar’ (car rental company), in case repairs on their Ford vehicle take more than 24 hours.
