Best Performance Comforts and Value for money Safety Features need to be improved The latest Swift can appear slightly larger than its predecessor but the changes in overall dimensions are minimal. The new car is 40mm wider and actually 10mm shorter in length. There’s a 20mm longer wheelbase too, but the numbers that really stand out are those for kerb weight. The new Swift is up to 110kg lighter than the old model, with the heaviest of the petrols tipping the scales at just 880kg! The diesel Swifts also commendably duck under the one-tonne mark. At the core of the Swift’s remarkable weight loss lies its new platform – ‘Heartect’, as Suzuki calls it – that also forms the basis for the Baleno, Ignis and Dzire. By carefully constructing elements of the basic frame in smooth shapes that provide strength, Suzuki says it has managed to minimise the need for structural reinforcements that would otherwise greatly add to the weight. The smooth, curving form of the frame is also said to help better disperse impact energy in a collision. The use of a significant proportion (around 40 percent) of high-tensile steel in the Swift’s monocoque construction also brings with it gains in weight and rigidity. Maruti says the Swift meets the upcoming norms for front offset and side impact, as well as pedestrian safety regulations.

I can say that it is one of the best car in its price range. The aerodynamic design at the front is looks cool. The position and the design of the head lights looks ok. Cons: The safety features not that ok but we can't expect more for this price.

This car is best value for money for those people who want great fuel economy in the 1200cc segment car. This car will deliver you best mileage among its competitors. But if you want some extra attractive features in this segment car... You can go for i20 also bcoz it gives you extra features space and quality at almost same price point.... But you have to bear problem of fuel economy in i20. Swift is more fuel efficient than i20.

Design is significantly improved. driving is better than earlier model,since i have purchased this car recently hence further review can be given post use of this car.but by far i can say after riding few hundred of kilometers swift has given satisfactory performance.hope to get better in future rides.
