Creta Seven-Seater Preview
An elongated version of the all-new Hyundai Creta has been spied testing in South Korea. It is confirmed that this is the seven-seater version which will be pitted against the likes of the MG Hector Plus and the Tata Gravitas. It is expected to be launched in India sometime in 2021.
Hyundai has not taken the easy way of just extending the existing Creta to accommodate a third row of seats. Instead, the Creta seven-seater has a longer wheelbase as well as an extended rear which should mean good leg space for both the second and third row of seats.
Exterior design may be tweaked to give the Creta seven-seater a distinct look, but the interior design is expected to be more or less the same as the five-seater version. Engines and transmission are also expected to be carried over from the five-seater variant, though with tweaks to handle the added weight and dynamics of the extended SUV.
