Kia Seltos variant wise features leaked ahead of launch

- Seltos to be available in seven variants including GT line

- Three engine options and five transmission options to be offered

Kia Motors is all set to unveil their first product for India, the Seltos, on 22 August. A month ahead of the launch, a video shared online claims to have leaked the variant wise features list of the upcoming compact SUV from the Kia. The new Kia Seltos is likely to be available in seven variants including HTE, HTK, HTX, HTX+, GTK, GTX and GTX+. The following are the variant wise details as revealed in the video:

Seltos HTE:

The base variant of the Kia Seltos is speculated to be available with features such as a tigernose grille, shark fin antenna, front and rear faux skid plates, rear AC vents, tilt and telescopic adjustable steering wheel, follow-me-home headlamps, steering mounted controls, Bluetooth with voice recognition, four-speaker music system, ABS with EBD and dual front airbags.

Seltos HTK:

In addition to the features rumoured to be available on the HTE variant, the Seltos HTK variant is also likely to be equipped with floating roof rails, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, mood lights with sound function, height-adjustable front seat belts, cruise control, smart key with push-button start and electrically foldable mirrors with indicators.

Seltos HTX:

Besides the features expected to be available on the HTK+ variant, the Seltos HTX variant is likely to come equipped with sweeping LED light bar, LED headlamps, Ice-Cube LED fog lamps, LED taillights and 17-inch alloy wheels. The cabin will be equipped with a 10.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, UVO connectivity, automatic climate control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, 60:40 split seats, air purifier, fast-charging USB ports in the second row, ambient mood lighting, rear reclining seats and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

Seltos HTX+:

Apart from the features speculated to be housed in the HTX variant, the Seltos HTX+ is likely to be rigged out with UV cut glass, eight-way power-adjustable driver seat, seven-inch MID display, Bose eight-speaker music system, 360-degree camera, driver rearview monitor, ventilated seats and wireless charging. Besides that, we may also expect electric sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, six airbags, brake assist, hill start assist, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), multi-drive modes, front parking sensors and a blind view monitor.

Seltos GTK:

In the GT line-up, the Seltos GTK variant will be the base trim and is likely to come equipped with ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, LED headlamps, LED light bar, LED DRLs, LED taillights, LED sound mood, Ice-Cube LED fog lamps and 17-inch alloy wheels. The cabin may be furnished with tilt and telescopic adjustable steering wheel, steering mounted controls, cruise control, reclining seats for the second row, rear AC vents, push-button start, smart key, Bluetooth and FM and Aux-in connectivity.

Seltos GTX:

Besides the features rumoured to be available on the GTK variant, the Seltos GTX variant is also likely to be furnished with ambient mood lighting, UV cut glass, eight-inch Heads-Up Display (HUD), seven inch MID display, automatic climate control, wireless charging, UVO connectivity, rain-sensing wipers, air purifier, TPMS, multi-drive modes, brake assist, hill start assist, ESC and ISM.

Seltos GTX+:

Apart from the features included in the GTX variant, the Seltos GTX+ variant is likely to have eight-way power-adjustable driver seat, electric sunroof, ventilated seats, Bose eight-speaker music system, 360-degree camera, front parking sensors and a driver rear view monitor.

The upcoming Kia Seltos will be offered with three engine options. The 1.5-litre petrol engine will be available with a six-speed manual transmission as standard while the CVT transmission is optional. The 1.5-litre diesel engine is available with a six-speed manual transmission as standard while a torque converter automatic transmission will be available as an option. The 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine will be offered exclusively with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Colour options for the Kia Seltos include Intense Red, Glacier White Pearl, Steel Silver, Gravity Gray, Aurora Black Pearl, Intelligency Blue and Punchy Orange.
