    DRIVING:
I bought the car on Dhantheres having booked the car in sept with a payment of 25,000. First the differential in pricing is very obvious. If you have already chosen this car, Sundaram Motors in Blore and GM will not give any discounts et. They have advertised earlier that discounts are available to teachers..now for the particular month it has been withdrawn. THe corporate discount is available if you or any friend/relative works in a large company. This is not a quantity discount offered for buying large numbers for a fleet. It is to say that if you work for a large comapny especially software then you are more equal than others who buy the same number of cars and pay in Indian rupees. GM is creating brahmins out of cyber slaves and treating even small entrepreneurs as less fortunate, hence ineligible for any corporate discount! Sundaram motors offered me free solar film...which was postponed from delivery date to first service then..no news on that after that. GM released advts about the gold coins and I wanted delivery on dhantheras hoping I will get the gold coin on that day ( just the sentiment...it is hardly worth 3500 rupees!) till date no news inspite of writing to the regional chief of GM, managers at Sundaram etc. Also, remember free service/maintenence for three years comes at a cost in my case 10,000/- was the figure quoted though from the advt the impression is that it will be free. On the price list GM offered free insurance and valued it at Rs.22,000/-...now I get a cover note for only 10,000/-.... ofcourse, i will approach the consumer courts. In the meanwhile I want as many people as possible to know. The onluy problem about going to court etc. is that both GM and Sundaram motors are large companies and will resort to methods fair and foul..am a little scared really to raise my voice...anyway I feel better having written this post. Read the small print, ask do not assume anything when buying a car. THere iss still no competition in India. Brands may be fighting for some share, but it hardly matters if one brand loses a few customers as there are others and more available customers. Best of luckWell Built, smooth runninglacks power for climbs/steep roads, not fule efficient, poor dealer service
