Volkswagen Vento [2012-2014] User Reviews

Exterior A solid build and stylish looks are a hit.Rear looks a bit odd but it is brilliant in the rear because of the 'VOLKSWAGEN' badge on the left side of the boot.While compared to the pricey City,VFM Fiesta,Italian Beauty Linea, flimsy Verna Transform and SUV-ish SX4,then the Volkswagen Vento looks like a luxury sedan.  

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Dashboard a little dull but excellent fit and finish.More features can be available on a Rs 10 lakh car but lots of space as well as comfort.Still Chevrolet Aveo feels classy in the interior though. 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The 105 Bhp engine is excellent!I like the Fuel Economy,delivered 31 Kmpl on 5 days!On 5 days a car can deliver 11 Kmpl but VW has delivered completely different fuel economy than the VW Polo.No DSG but still an excellent gearbox.But option of a Diesel Automatic could better the Verna Transform.Otherwise still Vento is an all rounder.     

Ride Quality & Handling Excellent ride quality and handling.It is excellent on highway roads of Delhi.

Final Words "VW Polo with a boot, I think that".You thought this?I also,but nearly good value.Solid and very excellent 105 Bhp engine.Pros-Fit and finish,Performance.Cons-Little expensive,But not when compared to Honda City which is the priciest.Vento is the heaviest but a luxury car feel cannot let it down.VW is excellent.Vento=Excellent.   

Areas of improvement Little expensive.Vento is such a good car,no more cons.

Exterior Good but look can be more improvised like that of HONDA / LINEA look . Rear Look is not so attractive.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good but front Dashboard is dull , could be more attractive.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good and Smooth driving , but fuel economy is horrible in case of A/T version.

Ride Quality & Handling Good and Effecient.

Final Words Overall good performance with value to money but Fuel Mileage to be Increased . Average : 10Km/L which is very costly affair for PETROL Users . Please advise can we FIT a CNG KIT to the VW VENTO A/T  Highline , If yes then , will create any problem in Engine Efficiency . Kindly update me or advise me if I can FIT my Car with CNG KIT.

Apart from this, Excellent Car to own, carries a Brand Value, Excellent Ownership and Status pride to Own VW, My Wife prefer to Drive the A/T version and she is comfortable in DELHI City, Massive Traffic . Manouvering is very Easy. After Sales Service to be Effective and need a VW Managment look and strong follow up.

Areas of improvement NA.

Exterior Front looks same as polo.Undercarriage (near rear wheels), two cables are hanging - could have been tucked carefully to under carriage.

Interior (Features, Space & C.omfort) Rear passenger seat at the middle has a big obstruction from the projecting mid portion at the floor bottom. The quality of plastics used in the dashboard and interior are very poor.  Cannot expect this from Volkswagen.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox performance is too good compared to fluidic verna ,city,sx4,linea. Now what do I say about the engine performance. How do i describe the feeling. Amazing, Incredible, Splendid, Superb. Well many more of the similar type of words. Boy you have do it on your own and find out. I felt like i taxied an airplane in the last leg of its take off attempt. It is so poweful. Amazing pick up. Shoots like a rocket. Engine is noisy in sports mode.

Ride Quality & Handling Amazing ride quality and handling. Just amazing. Splendid. I drove it on a paddy field like road. Full of slush, gutter, potholes. Uneven surface.

Final Words Value for money only if missing features are added and areas where attention needed attended to.

Areas of improvement USB, steering mounted, wooden interior,electrical adjustable mirrors.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Loud engine like desiel engine.

Ride Quality & Handling Bad as my car is having manufacturing defect.

Dear all,
I bought vento Automatic, in jan 2013 in bangalore from apple auto, it's hardly month old, since I bought there is a loud noise coming from the rear of the car when ever the car passes a speed breaker at 20kph some times even at 15kph. Apple Auto in bangalore are hopeless and they are just interested in a sale and after that they just ignore you. I have given my car to them to loom into the problem and for last 10 days the car is with them and no update from them regarding the same and finally they say the car is alright and all the cars of VW make a loud noise from the rear when they pass the speed breakers. I just can't believe them and I have driven lot of makes and models but never experienced such thing. Not to mention how pathetic their toll free number service, it's just an eye wash as far as resolving problems are concerned. All bangaloreans pls avoid apple auto like hell.

Areas of improvement VW have to come up with contact numbers and email addresses for the grievances as the toll free numbers ane the email address on their web site is of very little help, the call center guys do not know any other information other than the info from the website. If you have a concern/grievances there is a very remote possibility of help Fromm the VW India. Unless your dealpro helps you there is no other option.

Avoid VWBrand as there is no transparency and all the information that thou are supposed to know, like VW standards, your prevail ages like courtesy car etc are closed held and no one gives out any customer benifitial information.
