Exterior This car is such a beauty!!!!Ameo's looks are amazing.The wheels of volkswagen cars are just the best as they signify their logo.Ameo means I love you and so this car is worth to be loveeed !!!! It's a dream car in the semi-sedan segment.Ford aspire is a good competetant for this car whereas it simply cannot be compared with maruti Swift Dzire, Hyundai Xcent, Honda because these cars are there in the market for a long time whereas ford aspire and volkswagen ameo are recently launched cars so it will take time for people to digest the truth.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Volkswagen Ameo's interiors comes with excellent finish.The car has telescopic steering wheel which is a boon for the car .It also has excellent features like cruise control,airbags(standard 2),beige interior(comfortline and highline) which is soothing for the eyes,reverse parking sensors and reverse parking camera which are not there in any car of this segment.It also has extraordinary features like anti-pinch,automatic rain-sensing wipers,laser welded body.Bootspace and legroom space is sufficient enough for this segment.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox German engines are best known in the world for it's efficiency thus the car has excellent stability. It runs smoothly on the roads but the engine performance, fuel ecomony is not optimum. Ameo has air-conditioned gearbox which is a cool thing for this car.

Ride Quality & Handling In my area nobody has this car so everyone just keep on lookin lookin' ;).I feel so special by owning this car !!!! I fell in love for this car since the day i took test-drive of this car. It has excellent ride quality and handling because of it's features. (Cruise control, telescopic steering etc.)

Final Words I would say go for this car and fall in love!!! Maruti,Honda,Hyundai are there in the market for a long time so do dare to try something new.Volkswagen Ameo is unique ,the greatest and just the best car in this segment.

Areas of improvement Ford aspire has 6 airbags which provides optimum safety so there i would say volkswagen ameo needs a little improvement .Also i would love to see more varients in the colours. Overall the car is tooo good and beautifulllll!

Volkswagen Ameo is a fantastic car.You can really feel the difference of German engineering.Excellent ride and handling comfort.Steering feedback is awesome.You can be comfortable at high speed,even in corners.I drive 100- 120 kmph got mileage of 14 in city and 16-17 in highways.Only issue is a bit of cramped rear space,Otherwise nothing to complain.More than 5 years now with the car.

Fantastic car. I don't understand why VW discontinued this car. A pure drivers pleasure. Fantastic handling and awesome steering feedback.. Nothing can beat the build quality. Suspension is very good driving at triple digits can be easily confident. it gives a mileage of 17 km/l at highways which is good as I drive at 110-120 km/h speed. Only 2 things but not much of a drawback to me, 1) slightly underpowered considering vehicles kerb weight, but still looks good to me. 2)rear leg room, but it can be comfortable for 2 people.

Exterior Good Looking, Good Build Quality.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Dash Board is a jem of this brand. Driving confort. When you are in a long drive, then you feel, like anything.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine sounds loud a little bit but i think it appears with VW brand. 3 Cylinder Engine doesn't fit still in my mind, why it has been for around 1200 CC. The mileage in city if there is less or heavy trafic some times comes to 8-14 or low, depend upon the trafic congestion( taking 20-30 minute for 2 km), but I checked in 3-4 long drives the fuel mileage manually on 100-350 one side, and it gave me in one case around 18/Litre-Delhi to Jaipur,  and in another case, it gave me 20+(Mathura express way). In another long travel of 100+ on highway. UP, it gave around 16+/litre. That's surprise and gave me relaxation. 

Ride Quality & Handling The Ride confort and handling can't be compared with other brands of similar range- I checked Maruti Dzire,Baleno, Honda Amaze,Mahindra KUV 100, Toyota Etios, Tata Tiago.. The driving confort are given hereby 1-VW Ameo, 2. Honda Amaze, 3. Tata Tiago.

Handling, Grear box is awesome.

I drove in highways, cities, congested, Hill areas. Very excellent in handling and ride quality.

I drove at maximum to just check at 180. For few minutes, and I never felt if it is running at so high.. I will not recommend here people to go at so high speed. Used Cruise control.

Final Words Except Mileage, Leg space in Rear Seat (It can create problem for person having hight 6'+) but these are rares, can be manageable. The advantage you are getting various features, which you will not get in other cars with the same range of cars.

The cost of maintenance if compared yearly with other brands would come around same. The mileage if you compare with Hyundai i20 Petrol is approx same. Same for the cost of accessories.

In India, safety of a people comes second, but i believe, it should come first.

Areas of improvement

1. Mileage. 2. Leg space in rare seat, 3. Cylinder 3 ( Why?). Drove around 11000 km.

Exterior Best looking car in this segment. The front section looks quite impressive and you fell like you have bought vento,you cant deny it's beauty, the headlamps, its shiny colour is very attractive and many people look back to check wheather its vento or Ameo.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Best quality interiors, space is more than sufficent in front and rear seats.The boot space is quite impressive and features like anti pinch power windows and cruise control is cherry on top, reverse parking camera and sensor are features which other cars in this segment don't have. The seats are very comfortable and built quality is top notch.Legroom is quite decent and is more than sufficient for a nuclear family. Features like music system, aux, Bluetooth is nice.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox It's more than sufficient.The engine is very responsive and gearbox is also crisp,easy to handle.The 1.2 petrol engine is quite responsive even more than some of its rivals which has more horsepower,fuel economy in city is average and shows more efficiency on highways.

Ride Quality & Handling Excellent. It feels rock solid on highway and is very easy to move around in cities, The mileage is ok in cities and gives more efficiency on highway,don't know why people complain about its engine, it's not a sports car and the power created by that engine will satisfy you. The steering gets heavy as you gain speed on highway but that doesn't bother much to me.

Final Words Best car in this segment,if you are looking for all the top notch features and safety, this is the best car in this segment. Volkswagen service is the best. It offers safety features such as airbags and abs as standard features which is really impressive.The of quality get at such price tag is just great.

Areas of improvement None,nothing there to really complaint about, mileage can be improved or giving six airbags on highline variant.

Exterior Nice design with good build quality. Rear view is little bit not so good as the back of the rear seat is lifted. 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent ambiance, good comfirt, No sounds at all , very good music system, little bit less space for back seat Parcel tray is not there, cant keep anything behing the back seat.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Slightly weak particularly in ghat section needs to shift down quickly. Good fuel economy. I get 12 to 14 kmpl in city and and about 17 kmpl on highway (@ 80 to 100 km/h speed).

Ride Quality & Handling Good ride quality, Handling is also excellent.

Final Words Very good car in this segment, Vallue for money. Enjoy great comfort.

Areas of improvement  Driver side wiper can not be lifted up while washing. Faulty design. as other cars 1 switch or leaver must be there for opening the boot, even though there is provision in emergency by folding the rear seat.

Very good comfirt, Sturdy build quality, good ambience.Engine is is little bit weak particularly in Ghat section. small leg room for back seat.

Handling is too good esp when it comes to negotiation in traffic & sharp bends. Very smooth drive , suspension fantastic , Look & interior has got modern look thanks to VW. Pickup esp in 2 nd gear is low but it starts smoothly even in slope . Space , Little bit of crampy esp at back seat , boot space is not that great . Over all it's a value for money car.

I got this car Petrol comfortline in offer price for 6.7L.

Exterior My Toffee brown color, looks so classy, and build is superb. This has dual head lamps which no other brand offers in this price range. You will get 6years of perforation warranty (no rusting), Volkswagen car paint lasts very long (researched online). One should buy white for better heat resistance.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) No negatives,everything is perfect, except i didn't get touch screen and rear view camera..which can be installed by our own. All windows have one touch up and down feature. Boot space is 330 Lit which is decent, no regrets.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performace is upto the mark, even though the figures might seem less compared to other brands. I assure you it is good enough as a family car(don't buy if u want to race). The kerb weight of this car is 1060Kg, which a 150kg heavy compared to rivals, this makes difference during accidents but will impact mileage. It can run on 4th gear at 30kmph, gear box is so refined. Milage in city is upto 12-14 and on highways at 17-18.

Ride Quality & Handling Best in class, volkswagen is made for this.. u won't even feel a thing at 120. Steering is sporty and has tilt and telescopic adjustment, go for highline for steering controls. It has 15inch tyres which will glide on highways.

Final Words If u want a punchy version go for diesel, but petrol is good enough for family rides. I can still hear the solid thump sound when we close a door (awesome build).

Areas of improvement Mileage can be improved, u can get max upto 14 in city. and 17-18 on highways.

Body build quality and materials used, Engine performanceRear view look might not impress everyone, Milage is less as the kerb weight is high.

Buying experience was good. Within 10 days got delivered the car. Ride and handling is good. Have driven almost 15000 km and done first service already. Service is bit expensive but its only in a year or 15000 kms. I have 1.2 mpi, it will give linear power delivery, if anyone wants to ride like a horse go for diesel. Quality of materials used is fantastic. If safety and quality is your preference you can opt ameo. As using more than a year, it is giving 13-14 in city and 16-17 in highways. It depends the driving style and the terrain. I have got more than 18 at cruise control. Negatives are rear space is not so good,but if your family members are less than 6ft hight it wont be a issue.a rear arm rest could have been added.service centers should be increased.
