Whenever we talk about Dzire, first thing comes in our mind is 'a small car with dicky' [ bigger boot space to be precise]. Yes, the new Dzire (not anymore Swift Dzire) is nothing but new swift with bigger boot space and yet I am rating this car 5 stars. Sometimes ordinary is what we all are looking for because sometimes ordinary is something most practical. And the Dzire is today's most practical compact sedan in market. Before I begin, let me clear I do not own but I have driven the Dzire in my office so following are my experiences I will sharing here. I own swift and I can assure you that the new Dzire still carries the peppiness of Swift. It is basically same engine. I always loved swift engine. Despite being low on power (compared to i20 active) I found swift always better in handling and pick-up. Dzire has carried forward these both qualities from its previous generation. The smart hybrid engine has improved its mileage for petrol version which is as good as 22kmpl. In my personal experience all maruti suzuki cars give you mileage that company has claimed (of course handling and maintenance matters a lot). Dzire won't disappoint you on fuel consumption fronts. So engine configuration has not really changed much. For first time car buyers I would say, if you like active kids, you would love Dzire because the Dzire engine would always response. It will hardly lag on higher gears in traffic or on hills. On highways, just push the pedals and enjoys how swiftly it catches the speed. At the same time at higher speeds, you would feel confident when you apply sudden breaks. Also at higher speeds the car won't wobble making your long drives comfortable. This was all about engine and performance which actually was there in old version too. What refreshing is the new look and accessory features introduced in current version. First remarkable difference in new Dzire is it looks big, spacious and it in reality is too. Old Dzire had awkward lloks when seen along the length. Earlier the frony looked too long while boot looked too small. Rather the feel of sedan was completely lacking. The new Dzire scores here. The models perfectly balanced with new design. It comes with projector headlamps which look really sexy with chrome reflectors around the lens. The Dzire now comes with bigger boot thanks to increased length. From inside also maruti has improved the legroom for second row by imroving design of seats without compromising on comfort. It also comes with rear AC vents which were not there in outgoing model, a big relief! Parking sensors are now standard with this model so no need to spend extra chips for that. Rest all features like touchscreen infotainment, steering mounted audio controls, electric ORVMs, Cupholders, ABS, EBD, etc are loaded in car. Compared to its rival compact sedans in market it looks more classy, upmarket and certainly it won't make you feel like cabby. Although it is good option for cab drivers too, the Dzire Tour version of the same! Rest I will not talk about available colors, plastic quality, front grill etc things which I personally feel very with buyers. To sum up, the new Dzire is refreshing on looks front which I felt were must and lacking in old Dzire. It maintains its High-performance engine which was trusted and acclaimed by millions of swift and Dzire users, although it now comes with few modifications but that just add up to quality. Overall it is a good package for a family of 4-5 for both daily commute and weekend long drives. So go ahead, loosen your pockets on this one and ride to your office in style.
