Exterior Wonderful look.

Final Words When I purchased my first SUV or whatever, it's a dream come true for me and my family  and when I drove the vehicle it's really a pleasure to maneouve on heavy traffic road and also on Highways. The vehicle is quite handy like a kid in your hands. I really apprecite interiors especially the music system and the a/c is wonderful.

Areas of improvement May be the body could have made a bit stronger!!! And most important the fuel cap is quite problamatic., most of the people does not know how to open in pumps.

Easy to driveNothing

Booked AT version in July but the delivery was not assured by dealer so changed to Titanium Diesel (White). Got delivery on 15th Oct. Have driven around 600 km so far. Earlier car was Swift Dzire ZDi. Wanted a car with soft clutch (or AT version) with high ground clearance.

 Beautiful, soft curves. Good Mini SUV.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

 Very good leg space in Front and back though the seats width and length is reduced to give it more roomy look (Very clever of Ford). But still comfortable. Auto climate functioning is very different than Dzire. Have to reduce the temperature by 2 degree to get similar cooling effect. The indicators and washer controls are inter-changed than normal system available in India. Needs a little practice but still I make mistake in emergency situation due to old habbit. Surprisingly, there is no option for continueous high beam. Just only dipper. The position front lights are not on the steering but separately positioned. A little vogue. Mobile Phonebook can be stored in the Sync and can be dialed from central panel itself. Music system is Good. A pillar is very thick and blocks the view especially on turning. Needs to careful on turning as you do not see footpath and people crossing the road.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

 Engine is adequately powered and drive is smooth. Do not get sudden thrust on start of Turbo like other Diesel engines. The power is very linear and hardly get any engine sound in the cabin. Gear throw is just like sedan and clutch is also soft unlike Duster or Scorpio. The best FE got is 22.2 kmpl on the drive on ring road at Delhi (only upto 4th gear, never got chance to put in 5th gear). The instantaneous display of FE helps you in getting good FE (Should be made compulsory in all vehicles to make people know how get best FE). Drive steady without shooting and braking at around 1500 to 2000 rpm. Driving in fifth gear does not increase the FE but driving in correct gear is more important. Overall FE at present is around 18.5 kmpl. I sure, one can get FE of 25 kmpl on highways.

Ride Quality & Handling

 Small potholes are no problem with 16" wheel but has more body roll on bad roads if compared to sedans. Steering is very soft on slow speed which is very helpful in city driving and progessively become heavier with increased speed. I feel it becomes more heavy than required or we are not used to.

Final Words

 Great Mini SUV but over priced with reduced featured of Push Start/Stop and auto key sensing door opening which were the features of Titanium model at the time of booking. Even the price were increased by Rs.38,000 with reduced features!!!!! All sucessful models does the same and make fast buck from innocent buyers as you cannot sue them for it. But as car, it is perfect and fun to drive.

Areas of improvement  

 Doors are pretty heavy as expected from Ford. Needs to throw them hard.

 

SPACE, MILEAGE, STYLEYET TO FIND

Exterior Its is stylish care in its segment. The quality of paint and body design are nicely curved out.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious with nicely designed interior. Audio is excellent. Ford could provide day LEDs along with GPS system and full view screen. Instead of putting sunglass holder at the top, video screen could be implanted.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is good, but attimes it appears that when we shift gear from higher to lower particularly in third, the car takes time to take the pickup. Must work on fuel economy. Gear box is good, but has scope for improvement.

Ride Quality & Handling The ride is confortable an enjoyable and for those who are elevating them from small cars like alto etc, riding Eco sport is aremarkable experience. I also thank Shree Sai Ford, Jabalpur for their dealings and excellent customer care.

 nice smooth no noise of diesel engine like other car i had option with duster n ecosport i would say go for sporty ecosport and not for bulky u will feel like ur driving petrol car no noise good customer services i got from wasan ford (chembur) very helpful gearbos is also smooth fuel economy city 17 n highway 20 .. go for diesel version only petrol dont give average at all

 people go for ford ecosport this is the 1st car i loved from ford except others n ecosport have captured market in mini suv segment

 a bit in front suspension others all good love it

 

good looks comfortable , good style, spacious, good fuel economy(diesel), fully loadedall is fine nothin much all good just a bit suspension could b better in front

Exterior This Car has all looks which will overtake Ertiga, Duster, Quanto. the Looks will lock you at first sight.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The loads of features which comes along with this machine are pretty high. the rear Seating capacity is not as spacious to accomodate 3 adults at ease. 2 adults and kid would be comfortable. Boot space is large enough to take baggage for a weekend trip.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 1.5L TDCi Enginee is ford's successful diesel Engine and will give a good mileage in the city and on the highway. Its the same engine which comes in fiord fiesta which delivers good performance on the highway esp @ high speeds.

Ride Quality & Handling Good vehicle to drive within city and on the highway. Ford has proven once again that its a driver friendly vehicle.

Final Words If you are looking to change to an economical SUV this is the best you could.

Areas of improvement Nothing much. Should wait for the long term performance.

 I have brought Ford ecosport 40 days back from  talera ford nigdi Pune

Car is really good in all aspect.Only It is required to following some driver tips given by ford.

I am getting milage 20 above in high way and 18 above in city.Any type if performce is required this car is reacting very good. Depends on what you want from car it will react the same.

I am really happy using this car.( I had fiat linea/TATA manza/VISTA/SWIFT/INNOVA) Amongs all car my view is this is best vehicle uptil now.

Only thing i dont like is boot space and plastic they used in exterior of vehicle.

if you want beast it will act as beast if you want compact suve with good milage it will react with same.

 

Style/fuel EconomyBoot space is less

Exterior  good looks, looks heavy, good finishing & sporty looks.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)        very very excellent features. features is the base  of  car. better space & good comfort. interiors is luxrises. music system is very good. very comfort car. you feel relex in this car on long drive.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox      engine perfomance is very high. I drive 160km/h better average 18km/lit on highway when car speed is 100-120km/h.  16km/lit. in city. gearbox is very smooth. gear shifting is very easy. car pick-up is very very good.

 

Ride Quality & Handling   I drive 160km/h on highway. car is not swing. car power streing is very easy before another car. car is silent when drive the car. no engine noise in car. riding is smooth.

 

Final Words            smooth,shower & powerfull car. it is sport car. A value for money car. you think to purchase a car in this segment   Fod ecospoet and Renult duster and nissan terrno in three car . you purchase ford ecosport.

 

Areas of improvement      rear seat arm rest & trunk door noise when closeing. no any improvement in this car.

Exterior: Good looking sturdy feeling but fearing rattle noise after running couple of thousands Km.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): Good looking, spacious, driver leg room seams to be bit congested.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: For 1.5 engine preformance seams to be Ok but not as an SUV. again for 1.5 engine fuel economy 10.1KMPL is v.poor. Gear box not good enfough to say anything not satisfactory at all.

Ride Quality & Handling: Right 45 angle is a blind spot, caution for the drivers to b very careful especially in T junction.

Difficult to drive in street lanes due to no hearing of horn sound of other vechicle which may be due to Vehilce heavy noise.

Areas of improvement Overall material quality of the vehicle to be improved exterrior & interrior.

Engine appearance not good (When you open the bonet the first appearance should be solid like VW, the Al shield on the engine looks like an old junk fitted on it)

Grils are poor quality, Guide (fog) lamps too, Vehicle out look seams compact & inside looks large.

Final Words Hardearned money spent on this to enjoy driving & comfort. Than thums up fingers are cross not sure with the on going experince.

Hope Good braking systemDoor noise while closing

The Ford Ecosport is as good as it gets. While it may not be as powerful as the Duster, it certainly is better. It turns heads with it's premium good looks and is fantastic in every way. With excellent interors. 

On delivery I got the MRF ZV2K tyres which was dissapointing, as I expected the Good Year Assaurances. 

Sadly, Ford Dealers are terrible in every way possible. They first call you to bug you to buy the car, then when you go see the car they act like complete jerks, like we cannot afford the car. Then they slap a huge waiting list on you and do everything it takes to dissuade  you from buying the car. Then when you walk off, they actually call you to beg you to come see the car. 

The delivery of the car was a nightmare, as the dealer kept promising me the car, then demanding extra money, or giving feeble excuses even though I was in the preorder quota. For some reason they took a lot of money for accessories like mats, an option we had to take.

Ford really needs to get a tighter rein on their dealers or people are just going to deviate to the Duster or the upcoming Hyundai, Mahindra and Maruti crossovers.

Power, Price, Comfort, Features,Ford is messing everything up with bad dealers, terrible timing for price hikes and odd feature cuts
