This is to inform you that after considering many vehicles I finally decided to purchase Nissan Sunny-XL Petrol Model and I almost purchased the same on 27th August, 2012, but on that day I enquired from your another dealer M/s Sidheshwar Motors Private Limited, Ground Floor, Universal Trade Tower, Sohna Road, Gurgaon-122001, Haryana and at the initial discussions their sales person stated that they does not have Bronze Grey colour in their stock.   When I told him that I am going to buy the same from some other dealer then after some time this person called me stating that they are having Bronze Grey colour in their stock and also offered me a better discount and accordingly I transferred an amount of Rs.5.00 lakh to their account on 27th August, 2012 and told him that remaining amount I will give them by cash at the time of delivery on the same day in the evening.  I was shocked to receive a call from this dealership at about 03:30 PM stating that during pre-delivery inspection they have found vehicle damaged and they will not be in a position to deliver me the vehicle and I can choose some other colour available in their stock.  The dealer also stated that they have booked the colour with Nissan Motors and shall be available with them within a week’s time.  Since I transferred large amount, I have to do lot of follow up for getting my money back and I told them that the day they will receive the vehicle, I will transfer the funds to them again online. They were insisting again and again to raise invoice in the month of Aug-12, but I told them since they do not have vehicle with them how can they raise the invoice.

Now after waiting for around 15 days, I received a call from them that they have received the vehicle, but unfortunately they backed out from the rates they offered to me giving reasons that certain schemes have been withdrawn by Nissan.  How can these dealers make fool to the customers to achieve their sales targets – on the first instance if the dealer was not having stock – why he committed to me to give delivery and accepted full money. Also due to this I could not get the vehicle from other dealer.  In case it was a genuine issue, then he should honour the commitment and give me the vehicle on the agreed rates since the delay was because of them.

Anyway now I am happy that I have not purchased Nissan Vehicle since if the customers are being made cheated like this – what these dealers will do in future at the time of servicing / repairing of vehicle.  Now I have decided never to buy a Nissan Vehicle and shall advice accordingly to my friends about my experience with Nissan.

Exterior Looks very impressive, front is attractive and the rear view is muscular and very eyecatching,allows look nice, key less entry and push button entry and lock are features not seen in this segment.front grill is more like manza,its affordable style but honda still looks better.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) One thing thats ample is space,plastic inside is just ok, not upto the mark,and the intrument cluster is in the shape of a round gizmo,which looks more like a space ship-dosent impress, automatic folding and opening of side mirrors looks nice, lot of under thigh support on driver seat, but I had to struggle with the stearing mounted controls, stereo quality is again just average, even the sony stereo in my swift is giving better sound than the one in top end sunny-very bad.rear seats again good seats with less head room, rear blower appreciable but becomes rather noisy at top speed-its quality could have been better. no leather seats even in top model.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is smooth,there is a lag between the moment the car accelerates and when you press the race,exactly like hundai accent,probably the build quality is good but the engine appears underpowered when accelerating but once you have accelerated it drives pretty nice,a lot of engine noise at high speed ,but much less than etios and more than honda city.gives around 12,i cant say i just went for a test drive.gear box is notchy, but no real snag.

Ride Quality & Handling Suspension is superb, absorbed good potholes, handling good, even at 70 -80 in city it felt good and drove with confidence.

Final Words If i had to spend 8.5 lakh on a petrol vehicle,i will still buy a honda city.

Areas of improvement Improve the interir plastic, remove that aerospace craft dish like instrument cluster, add some more zing to engine, it has the looks of a winner but has to grow up to it.

I bought new car Sunny XV (diesel Top Model) on 30th Aug and today is 4th Oct. Its only approx one month. And now my car have problem of start, Actually i just stopped my car for dinner near Kangra Himachal Pardesh ( National Highway 71) after when I come backed and ready for go it’s not started . i tried lots but not . I called RSA (Road services assistant) at 9:00 pm. I told him my car is not starting. What I do? First he simple ask what is an issue? I explained everything. After that he said Technician will come and checked the issue. I waited lot but nobody there I called 20 times then Technician come at 4:00 am ... And that fucking Technician comes there without any tool or machine. And even he don’t know how to start keyless car. They simply say u need to tow your car. It will fix in agency (Near agency NISAN DADAMOTERS Jalandhar ,Ludihana Road where I bought this car ). So again I called more than 40 times to RSA for towing van. its

come at 10:00 am . (I have to wait 13 hrs for this .. that was really harassment ). Now main harassment in agency. They checked my car and said its some programming fault so we need one more day to fix this. I said okay but I need exact time when this issue will resolved, Service Manger said u will come tomorrow 3:00 pm. Your car will ready. I came there exactly 3:00 pm. And asked for my car status, he said we can’t fix this issue .. Technician will come from Chennai or Delhi from NISSAN they will fix and its take 6-7 days.

I just think what benefit of buying new top modal car is? It’s just 1 month and this issue

My car is just run 5000 km and proper first check up after 1000 KM. So why I keep this defected car ?? those not working properly in month or in 5000 km... what will happen after 20000 km.

Please suggest me what i do? I wasted my three days; cancel important meetings, facing harassment.

My advice to all new customers doesn’t buy Nissan Cars. All services are very very very third class, No customer satisfaction. All over 0/10.

Final Words A good car but without breakes, My friends are scared to drive my car bcos of poor breaking system. Its a failute and nissan shoulod accept and go for replacement, else will see lot of customers going to consumer form which will tarnish the value of the brand In India.

Corporate quality teams to be visible in Nissan Site to address the concerns dirctly with customers. Customer friendly dealer Network, Present dealers are cheaters,  They collect money for extended warranty and later on adjust in Free Bee's and claim we have not paid money for extended warranty. especially Jubilant Nissan. chennai.

Exterior Exterior is very nice with curves on the body,the rear is not very excellent but it's also not bad.The side profile of the car is excellent with chrome door handles and the wheel caps are also quiet nice in the XL model.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) As you will enter the this you will realize that it's really a caaaar.The Legroom for the rear as well as for the front passenger is vey nice.It's also provided with safety features such as abs+ebd+ba and both airbags and comfort features such as climate control and rear ac fan.The seats of the car are very nice and the rear seat also has a armrest with cup holders for added comfort.The music quality is also very nice.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is very good and the fuel economy is also nice.The Company claims a fuel economy of 21.64 in the diesel variants(as tested by ARAI).

Ride Quality & Handling You dont need to worry about the handling and ride quality as it's a nissan product.

Final Words Really a Caar in its segment and the price is also not very high.It is a good buy for the people who are looking for a Diesel caaar with all the features at very competitive price.

Exterior One of the primary reasons for to buy Sunny was the exterior look. The wheel base of 2600 mm vs the other cars made it look a big bigger.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Legroom and seating comfort was the other. It has the best legroom and seating comfort in its class ( I also tested Skoda Rapid recently after the buy ). There are enough feature to keep me occupied but the stereo quality could have been way better. Also I had taken this package of kit with rear car parking sensors which I thought would be a good tool but is annoying and not worth the cost. The boot space is again at 490 lts which is big in its size.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine - Its 1.5 lts engine and I am not a big power driver so it suffices my need with the bhp and torque its tuned to. It could have been better though making it a 1.6 ltr engine.

Fuel Economy - The car travels in traffic of Mumbai, so was expecting atleast 12 vs 16 but its operating at 10.2 which kind of sucks.

Gearbox- The feel is not great with the gearbox. Feels like there is a snag and somehow not comfortable with the flow of the gearbox.

Brakes - The brakes make kind of funny noise for which the service advisor had given a reason but would like to see what happens in the 1st Service.

Ride Quality & Handling Considering the traffic conditions in Mumbai, manuvering has been easy so far. You don't feel the bumps.

Not tested at high speeds.

A good family car!!

I have seen reviews on bad service , just to state my case - Got delivery of car in flat 5 days. Had broken the rear windshield there were no spares available the guys got the spare and had the car ready in 3 days with a constant follow up.

Got the car from Orion Nissan - Navi Mumbai. On Sales side even I got messed up on the 52k discount (got the car delivery on 17th Nov'11)

Will be completing 1k kms in a few days and will be visiting workshop for the 1st service so lets see how does that go through.

Areas of improvement Wheel size needs to be increased, Stereo quality, Gearbox flow.

Exterior

Quite decently lined aerodynamics for all to see, so don't have much to say. Be careful about the bumpers as they are just stuck around withplastic clips. A slight bump and they might partially dislodge.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Good colour tone,comfy seats. Great music system, just connect yr iPod or any decent cell phone to the aux port and you will realise how good the speakers are. Excellent thigh support fr the front seats. If u are a higway type then u will thank Nissan all the more. Pint sized glove box is just good for car papers only, could have been better. No USB and Bluetooth is a big let down. Cup holders in the rear arm rest are just pressed in. Aircon isquite efficient and blower speeds are quite okay. Front and rear defoggers are also quite  good.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Sunny XL Petrol I own is among the first ones in the state and till now have clocked about 4000 Kms. Gear shift is smooth and the engine is quite decent. Most comfortable in the range of 2500- 3000 revs. Have got an average economy of 18 kmpl on highway and about 14kmpl in the city but Lucknow is a congested place and since clutch is the most used pedal here so have no reason to complain. Both economies are with air con running and 5 guys on the highway and 3 in the city.

Ride Quality & Handling

Suspensions are light and avrg pot holes on the road are a non issue. Be careful on executing turns at speed above 60. Could detect a slight body roll at that speed. Less than that speed the things are a breeze on the turns. Steering is very light and sensitive and this is a bit of a draw back as u have to concentrate more at speeds above 90-100. For city driving it's comfortable. Front pillar are a bit forward located which creates a blind spot for the driver at an angle of aprox 45-50 degrees, which means that on crossings u some time have to crane yr head for the cross traffic, as simple eye movement will not do.

Final Words

All in all an extremely good package and worth every rupee of the 7.75 lacs u spend on getting this baby home. When I bought the car there were hardly any Sunny around. What  actually required getting used to was the people ogling you from the side then speeding up to see the front and falling back to see the rear . Lol? Yeah and one thing more which I read in one of the reviews here was about getting outfitted with Micra accessories. Ok very right bcos the Sunny accessories werenot in the market. Mine was supplied with Micra foot mats for the purpose of protecting the carpet, but they called up after 4 days came over to my place and changed the mats with the sunny ones without any charge.

Areas of improvement  

 not much. A bigger glove and USB n Bluetooth would make the complete package.

Please do not buy nissan sunny car at all as i have worst experience about service and maintenance. last 3 years, i have spent more than 2 lac rs only in maintenance as nissan car is not sold so dealer like ritunissan and nissan co takes and fool customer by charging them heavily when car goes for maintenance. i had one recent experience where my car stop due to shift gear control cable was damaged.. initially by ritunissan mechanic gave me honest reply after checking car that shift gear control cable is broken and it need to be replaced and rs 5000 will be charged. and i got sam in my message but later on they added another 25000 rs by showing technical fault in few other parts which was shocking to me. theya re really fraud. People are requested to be careful. They have extremely poor service and maintenance record unlike suzuki car. still my car in in their work shop since 3 days and another 5 days it will take to arrive parts from chennai factory. There is not even 15% resale value you get. so please stay away from nissan brnad. it is good in foreign country as service center and maintenace is good but india , it is worst.

Good looking. Good paint finish. Of course it depends upon individuals taste and it can be assessed easily. 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Acceptable plastic quality. Good arrangement of switches and pedals. Great space. Can stretch our legs. Hence very good for long distance journeys. Sitting comfort and posture are very good. Thigh support is adequate for front seats. Front visibility is excellent.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

I purchased Nissan Sunny diesel XL version and have run 800 kms with full A/c. This car has really exceeded all my expectations. Average fuel economy is an astonishing 22.3 km/L with three passengers (Expected around 17-18km/L) : tank full to tank full with 80% highway. (Avg fuel indication in drive computer is Highway 24.6, City 19.0, overall average 22.8 km/L ; reset a few times after noting km run and avg fuel efficiency to get highway and city averages). Difference of 0.5 km/L between drive computer and tank full to tank full may be due to filling error. Smooth clutch, gearbox and steering. Very easy to drive. Lots of space. Have been driving Santro. Have driven Matiz, Wagon-R, City and Innova during last five years. I feel sunny is definitely better than all of them. Best fuel efficiency at 60 to 80 km/hr. However fuel efficiency is found to drop off beyond 80 kms/hr. My friends who own fiesta, vento, dzire, altis all appreciated the fuel efficiency (None gets better than 19 km/L average) and ride comfort. Head lamps and wipers are very good. Features offered for the price surprised all.

Ride Quality & Handling

Great ride quality and handling. Breeze to drive both in city and highways. Bumps were handled really well. Turn radius of 5.3 m is quite good.

Final Words

Excellent value for money. Great Car. Great comfort. Great fuel efficiency.

Areas of improvement  

The floor mat provided is light in colour. This tends to get dirty. I am planning to put some additional mat to totally cover the area. Otherwise cleaning of mat may be required every year. (Costs Rs 1200/-). Engine silent (Compared to other diesel engines) even at higher speeds upto 110km/hr. (I didnot attempt speeds beyond that). However, road noise filters in beyond 80 kms/hr. May be a little unpleasant beyond 105 km/hr. You may require to switch on music system to overcome the unplesant tyre noise beyond 100 km/hr. I generally do not prefer music sytem while driving. My wife and sons do insist on it. My car is provided with JK tyres. However some other lucky customers got Bridgestone. Music system is quite good. But lack of pen drive support is a real disappointment. I am wondering why Nissan has not provided it when even the cheapest music system in the market has that. Rear fan is a novel idea but is noisy as well. A/c performance is very good even without rear fan. A minor discomfort initially compared to Santro and Innova while getting into driver's seat but after adjusting seat height a few times, I feel quite comfortable now.
