I have purchased Sunny XL diesel, and driven more than 1000km, the car is very good. Value for money.Good interior, External look is unmatched and uncomparable with other cars of this segment. handling is very easy. It needs little careful while parking. The car is accelerating quickly upto 100km mark, but above 100 km the engine is not cooperating as the swift ddis. The engine noise is more as the car reaches above 100.AC is very good, Rear fan gives more effect to the passengers of 2nd row.leg room is more, more, more. NO Botte holders at the door.

The price of sunny is less when compared with Vento, Rapid. Volkswagan sounds like a trackter. but sunny is very smooth. Sunny Suspension gives comfort even at off roads. good ground clearance. At any speed you can cross a hump.

Central locking with alarm is not there, Speedometer panel is not the best. Digital display of Kms/clock is very small.

Exterior - This is probably the area where Sunny loses out to most of the competition - Verna, City,... It doesn't win over them however it's not the ugly duckling either. Looks are decent but not something that'll turn your head. I have the 2015 model with changes in styling - headlamps, indicators on mirrors..

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) - It beats every other car in terms of comfort hands down. I've owned a Verna for couple of years and have used City which one of my friends' drive, nothing comes close to this in comfort or space. I'll start with the music system in features list and for me it's a breeze with USB, AUX, IPOD support and a bluetooth for phone connectivity. The call quality is really good without any drop in performace. The screen works as camera while reversing with lines to help park/reverse. The AC is pretty good on automatic climate control mode (I've rarely used it on manual mode till now), they could have connected AC to the rear blower though. Seats are fabric but comfortable with ample thigh support. What I sorely missed was arm support for long drives.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox - The dci puredrive engine is superb, I've taken the car to extremes and it lives upto the expectations. 1st and 2nd gears don't have enough power but 3rd gear onward car starts to come in shape. I've used the 3rd gear from a speed of around 25 kmph to 90 kmph. If you just want to cruise on a highway you can easily do 120-130 kmph at 2.5k RPM. Any speed above that you'll gear the grunt from engine, I've personally taken it to 170 kmph for couple of seconds max and it did maintain its stability even then. If you have a good 4-6 lane highway then cruising at around 120 is the best speed for this car.

Brakes are pretty decent though it would take some time to get used to them as their response builds up rather than hitting immediately.

Gearbox is something that they probably can work on especially while shifting from 2nd to 3rd the response is pretty poor and it feels super stiff.

Fuel Efficiency - Is one of the plus points, I've got around 16 kmpl in city and 21-22 kmpl on highways with 60% of running in city and 40% on highways.

Ride Quality & Handling - This is the area where this is unmatched, it does not feel super light like other Japanese cars nor it feels heavy like most of the European cars. Nissan has somehow found the sweet spot in terms of handling. There is slight body roll on the car when you corner too quickly but it maintains its shape. Steering is inch perfect, no play nothing. You have to move by certain amount - you steer it at corresponding angle and it works flawlessly. It rides over small potholes without you knowing they existed.

On days I've done 500 kms (to and fro) within 12 hours (4 hours of driving on each side, 4 hours of work) and never felt tired.

Final Words - It is a beautifully assembled car but you can see its true colours only on highways, I personally still feel it might not be the best city car.

Exterior LOOKS GREAT IN THIS SEGMENT.Exterior r good its a good looking car as compare to verna, fiesta, dzire & vento.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) COULD BE SLIGHTLY BETTER,BUT OK. SUPER QUALITY, NICE COLOR COMBI, SPECIALLY INNER METALIC RING FOR CONTROLS. BOOT IS SPACIOUS DICKEY OPENIN BY REMOTE, SIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR ON DOOR AUTO FOLD, TELLS AVG/LTR.TEMP.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good. Got 18.4 kmpl on a trip of 1000 kms.A bit notchy while shifting gears.

Ride Quality & Handling Traveled 450 km (Bhubaneswar to Vizag) at a strech without any discomfort.Driver thigh support is good.

Final Words Bought on 17 th Oct in BBSR. Traveled to Vizag on 18 th and back on 19 th. Ride quality is good. Rare leg room is best in its class. Lot of boot space.Average mileage I got for the whole 1000 km distance is 18.4 kmpl, again sounds great. A good car in this segment. Pushbutton start is a nice attraction.

Areas of improvement Lot of outside sounds, needs to be more sound proof. 5th alloy wheel, as it comes with only 4 alloy wheels. Need to increase dealers and service stations all over the country.

      LOOKS,STYLE,SPACE4 ALLOYS WHEELS ONLY.

      Exterior Everyones looking at you.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) My 6.2 feet friend fell in love with rear space even when the front seat was max backed...my baby could sleep even in the city drive peacefully.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Though not very powerful. Yet very responsive...its not a sport car. But for a family its just more than perfect. Gears a bit notchy but the ratio as claimed in reviews is definitely better than other cars i tried

Drove it on highway for 250 kms entirely on 5th gear.coz at bumps it just glides without jerking. The odometer average was 22 km/l in city for 100 kms it was 14.5 km/l  should i believe it??

Ride Quality & Handling Just awesome, perfect better than fabi, vento, linea and manza.

Final Words Its really worth your money...and this price range u cant ask for more.

Areas of improvement Interiors, but then buy xv for 2.5 lack extra and u can get those..lol

My grandfather wanted a no-nonsense petrol car and was in a confusion between verna sx and the city vmt as he felt they were  a little overpriced and so i told him about the nissan sunny that was launched 1 week ago and we immediately went to the showroom. he liked the look of the car which was elegant and he liked the interiors too and also the features that were on offer and the price tag was also good and the rear seat made him wonder if it was really a c-segment car and he felt tht 99 bhp wasenough power for both city and highway and also with a nissan badge, he felt tht it was a steal. so we immmediately booked it and we did not get the car yet. nissan has done a good job. it has not only captured the c-segment buyers but also the d-segment buyers. well done nissan.

Exterior The exterior of the car looks royal, elegant, and pleasing, it resembles the bigger teana than the little micra.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are made of high quality materilals and very funcitional and also lots of features lik start stop system and a keyless go system, steering controls, usb slot, ver spacious rear seat and comfortable front seats.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox We have booked the car without test driving and the milage figures are pretty good and the power 99ps is also good.

      Exterior PREMIUM FEEL.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) LUXURY AT ITS BEST.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox NISSAN ADVANTAGE.

      Ride Quality & Handling COMFORTABLE.

Final Words THE BEST YOU CAN GET.

Areas of improvement ADDING AN HAND TO THE FRONT SEAT WOULD ENHANCE THE COMFORT. After the Micra, the Sunny is probably the most important car for Nissan and its plans for the Indian market for it will compete in a segment where people are particularly finicky about the value they get from the money they spend. So, if the Sunny really has to shine then it must offer space, equipment, reliability, power and economy. But does Nissan’s new Sunny offer all these? AUTO BILD INDIA’s forthcoming issue has the answer to that one.

The 1.5-litre petrol engine generates 99bhp and 134Nm of peak torque. Nissan is also developing a diesel variant.

The 5-speed manual transmission slots in alright but is somewhat notchy.

There’s sufficient grunt even from as low as 1500rpm so that the car is actually easy to drive without needing too many downshifts.

Nissan has extended the V-platform to increase the wheelbase and with it, interior room. The Sunny also has a large boot.

Like the Micra, the Sunny gets keyless entry and engine start/stop function. It shares other bits from the Micra as well, like the circular arrangement of the air con buttons.

ABS, EBD, brake assist and airbags are standard kit, which is a big plus for the Sunny.

The Sunny boasts a cushy and comfortable ride with the suspension ironing out most irregularities the road can throw at it.

      VALUE FOR MONEYVERY MUCH AFFORDABLE

Exterior The car has the classic Japanese design that will attract both men and women. The curves aren't sharp and give a the car a classic look.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) On space itself, the car is way ahead of any of it's competitors. It infact it competes with cars in upper segments when it comes to space. It's loaded with features; however, the look of the interiors was a turn off. The plastic used is doesnt give a very rich feel. Having said that, the car is extremely comfortable, at least for a passenger.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The car is not powerful and cannot generate a lot of torque. However, the performance is excellent in case you plan to drive within the city limits. Gear is smooth.

Ride Quality & Handling The driving experience is good; however, there are much better cars in this segment when it comes to handling. The suspensions and the ground clearance are better when compared to City.

Final Words A perfect buy for a person looking to drive a car that is spacious, but intends to stay within the city.

Areas of improvement The interiors need to be worked on.

      Exterior

Nice enough to look at.A lay man guesses the price at 15 odd lacs, thanks to the size of the car.An ego booster!

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Feature laden,no other car is giving as many features for the price, space wise its more than you can ask for,I wish it had a little more of elbow space. Its a very comfortable car with not very low seats,a very light steering. It does'nt give much feel but is still better than the petrol. The suspension is a bit noisy and cannot filter sharp bumps, but gets much better as the speed rises.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

The performance is more than you can ask for with a very strong midrange. You can virtually just press the accelerator and the car takes off without any judder, nomatter what gear you are in.Fuel economy wise it is fabulous.I get an economy of 30kmpl(At 70-80kmph)on the highway.Giving me an overall mileage of about 24-25kpl.The car being so light pays its dividends here.

      Ride Quality & Handling

The ride quality is par for the course, gets better as the speeds rise.At low speeds, sharp bumps can filter through, also the suspension is not as quiet as one would want.Handling is safe but nothing to write home about.Well its a family car and if you want to be a boy racer, you would be getter off buying the Fiesta. The ground clearance too is quite high and nothing to bother about.

      Final Words

I am impressed with the car's capabilities, its price to features factor, the size, as well as the handling of the dealer.Although its only been 20 days since I've bought the car,so will reserve the right to comment on after sales for later on and keep you guys posted on that front.

      Areas of improvement

Improve the gearbox feel. Make the suspension more European car like in nature. Its a typical Jap car, light and tinny in feel but efficient nonetheless.

      Fuel economy,space,featuresNotchy gearbox,flimsy build,jiggly ride.
