    DRIVING:
    Few thousand kilometers
The Nios is my very own first car. Though we own a VW Vento which my father drives. I initially went in to buy the Tiago which I was dead set on buying. But the experience in two Tata showrooms were pathetic to say the least. I went to Hyundai to check out the Nios and it was a contrasting experience. Took the test drive and liked the engine and dynamics as per my requirements. My car selection was solely based on engine and drivability. All in all the Showroom experience was fantastic. Coming to the driving, the car is a great city car. Its good at low end speeds and can pull hard if you want it to. Though it doesn't pull as much past 130-140 km/h (I drive 80-90 km/h mostly). The car will take bumps at slow speeds well but at high speeds its stiff suspension and chassis will make you bounce a bit. So its good for highways but what stops it from being great is its safety rating (which we only came to know after we bought the car). I drive with AC always on so it maxed at 14 km/l in city and 20 km/l on highways. Again I am a calm driver mostly. If you push this car hard, don't expect double digits in cities to be honest. Looks are subjective and that is best left to people who look at it. Though people are positive on its looks. Performance wise, the car is great in the city and you wont feel underpowered. Though on highways you would have to lower down the gear if you want to pull from low down. Servicing has been a good experience. They did not try to push me for non required stuff. Pros - Good responsive engine and refinement Interior space and fit and finish Arkamys music system Balanced handling compared to other Hyundai cars Fantastic AC Low maintenance and long oil change periods compared to competition Flexible warranty which could save money on extended warranty if you don't drive more than 600km a month. Cons - Bad GNCAP rating
