    DRIVING:
    Its my mate since ages

Bought Vento diesel in the year 2014. The car is sturdy, high in power, good road grip, strong in terms of body etc. However, from day one, I faced the issue of hard clutch and when reported was told that vento' s clutch in general is hard. This was told by the service centre as well as the showroom in Navi Mumbai that is Autobhan.

At the time of first check up at 7500 kilometres approximately, the brake pad and brake discs were detected as damaged. The issue was escalated and the company accepted the defect and a free replacement was offered.

Again coming back to the clutch issue, the complaint was noted by the service center and at 42000 kms I was communicated that the clutch is detected absolutely fine. At, 49,000 kms, the car had gone for repair and again the clutch issue was raised by us and got the standard reply that clutch is alright. Next day, I told the advisor that I want the answer in mail. I did not get any mail and was communicated that the clutch is completely worn out. So, as per company' s record at 42,000 kms the clutch was absolutely fine and at 49,000 kms the clutch was completely worn out which is impossible with the same driver driving the vehicle. I have Toyota Innova which has run 1.8 lakh kms driven by the same driver without any clutch issue. Total expenditure for clutch of vento INR 45,000.

Now, at 60,000 kms, there was some car heating issue and at the service center it was detected that the water bag seems to be leaking and needs to be changed. And, if water bag is changed, Timing belt along with other things also need to be replaced though it cannot be detected that timing belt is worn out or not. Total expenditure INR 24,000.

To add to it there is issue of car wobbling and engine noise during pick up which can be noticed by anyone who drives the car but the service center people cannot notice it which is surprising.

The issue has been escalated everywhere but no response and people give automated answers like a computer system. I plan to sell the vehicle and never buy VW vehicle again in my life. Those who are buying this be aware that it is very high maintenance car.

Volkswagen has committed a big scam in USA fir which it has been penalised billions of dollars. The scam was putting cheat codes to reduce the emission levels during the tests conducted by government agencies so that the poor quality vehicle is approved. This is what I could understand.

Power, Sturdiness, Strong BodyPoor Performance, Defective parts, poor customer support, fraud company
