I regret buying this car last November 2018. From Day one Ac is not working and local dealer could not short out the problem. They have kept the car in their workshop for 3-4 weeks and returned the car as it was. My sincere request don't ever buy any costly car of Hyundai India. Here they don't have proper service engineer nor they got spare parts to rectify the problem. I am planning to take legal action against the company.

Buying experience was nice and smooth, the waiting time was also less than other cars, driving experience is fine but not at all good, once you try a another car of the same price range, the looks of the car is amazing and you can always get an addon from the car market, servicing and maintenance to me was on the hectic part of this whole car experience, it can be smoother, for pros and cons i would say this has good exterior and gives a true sedan feel.

If you are in the market for a petrol D-segment sedan, the Elantra should be on top of your list. Much cheaper than the Octavia and Corolla, the Elantra is a very underrated car. It is a no-nonsense premium sedan with loads of features. In the automatic guise, the car is a perfect city machine. Don't expect too much in the way of handling, while engine performance is robust though not thrilling. The car is a very neutral handler and has no nervousness like previous gen Hyundais. Does well on the highway. Can cruise effortlessly all day. Those who are planning on the auto, be wary of the less-than-stellar city mileage. In peak Bangalore traffic, it squeaks out 6-7 kpl. But given its Atkinson cycle engine, on highways cruise between 90-100 and it gives up to 15 kpl. Anyway maintenance and spares are not an issue thanks to Hyundai. You will be satisfied with the ride, even though it does feel a little light. Let's just say, it feels nimble. One more thing of note, I was pleasantly surprised at the ground clearance. In the horrible crater-like roads of Bangalore, the Elantra barely breaks a sweat - as good as any sedan. This is an ideal upgrade for the Honda City loving folks. Just effortless. Fantastic refinement. Best thing is, it has features standard to 40L cars. Pros - Mind-boggling feature list, great looks, quality interior, robust engine performance, city ride quality, Hyundai aftersales and service, effortless auto gearbox, drive modes Cons - Boring handling, build a little on the lighter side, sub-par tinny speakers, city mileage Driven 3,000 kms in a 3-month old Elantra SX(O) AT Petrol.

This the best executive sedan you can buy at this price as the quality and the style of the interiors is excellent the exterior of the car is the best in class (D segment, consisting of toyota corolla, skoda octavia and hyundai elantra itself) some of the features present in this car are not even present in cars in the 35 lakh bracket. As the new kit which is included in this car also provides to it some of the features like wireless charging under the front armrest and blue link to control the infotainment and AC with your mobile phones this results in so many features considering the price of 23 lakhs. Pros- Engine- the engine performance is pretty sleek and i think enough for a lot of drivers considering the fact that the petrol engine is a 2.0 litre which produces 152 hp and 196 Nm of torque which mated to its sleek 6 speed torque converter results in 0 to 100km in just 9.2 seconds(But the car is not meant for enthusiasts as there is a some sort of body roll in sharp turns). I have driven the car for more than 4000km and the average mileage which is a mix of both city and highway is around 13 to 15 kmpl which is i think good for a petrol engine considering the power which it delivers. SpaceComfort- the presence of cooled ventilated front seats and 10 ways electrically adjustable seats with a lot of space in the front results in a very comfortable ride for the front passengers. Now talking about the rear, the elantra has class-leading space with very comfortable seats and considering the fact that the floor is almost flat and the width of the car, it is an ideal seat for 3 passengers to sit very comfortably. Styling- with no doubt it is the best in the segment. Safety- as far as tge safety of the car is concerned, this car has 6 airbags with with ABS, EBS both rear and front parking sensors and what not the car is equipped with all the saety features and is not missing out on any. Fyi, before buying the Elantra i had taken test drive of toyota corolla, skoda octavia (all petrol auyomatics) but they did not give me the peace of mind which this car gave me. Although it is a known fact that the skoda octavia's 1.8 TSI is the best, the car overall is not as good as the hyundai elantra and if compared to toyota corolla the elantra is miles ahead of it in every aspect whatsoever. And considering the hyundai support and after sales, this Hyundai Elantra is thr best you could buy in the D Segment.
